    I've noticed that the last two Scream movies have made the killers the most likely suspect because the audience would least likely expect the most obvious choice. It's actually a very frustrating way to circumvent the audience's expectations.

    • @adamsmoberly

      I only guessed the sister, because she died off screen, which is super odd for Scream to do. But in retrospect, the dad was obvious, but I definitely think he was doing an ok job of hiding the fact by saying what he wanted to through his daughter’s “death”.
      Amber from 5 is the worst though, because she literally has no character nor anything to do. I guessed her 20 minutes in, because she was that suspicious and she didn’t have any cover for her to pretend she wasn’t. But 5 is definitely one of the worser films, since they cut out genuinely good killings and such from the original script (and I think Covid actually made them cut back, similar to 3 with Columbine).

I think 6 had more for the characters to do, so I didn’t suspect as much as I did with 5.

    I disagree about Scream 6. Not only was it not blatant, it didn't make sense. I know it's fiction, but how exactly does a New York Cop get his hands on evidence from a serial killer (FBI) in California? Beyond that, why did Ethan help Mindy instead of just pretending he didn't see her? This one shouldn't be on a predictable list but one of stupid reveals that make no sense.

    • @zzzmariana
      @zzzmariana ปีที่แล้ว

      And how tf no one knew Bailey was Richie's father, including the FBI? It's 2023, people will dig your entire life on the internet in a matter of seconds.
      Also the fact he managed to steal some random girl's body to pretend it was his daughter......where is the forensic team???? Considering people are obsessed with ghost face in this universe, it seems like no one bothers to investigate 🤡

    • @kennethconklin4140
      @kennethconklin4140 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Also, the familial connection doesn't make sense. "Bailey". The last name of the 3 killers...okay..so how are they related to Richie KIRSCH?! Is that his middle name? Mother's maiden name? What the fuck? Never really says. So that's lame. People can say what they want about Scream 3's killer, but at least it explains how killer and hero are related and has that shit make sense.

  • @adamsmoberly
    @adamsmoberly ปีที่แล้ว +12

    I won’t lie that Scream 6 is definitely a little bit predictable, but it’s definitely 5 that has basically written killers on the killers forehead.
    Amber is overly suspicious, since she’s basically a cardboard character (along with Wes and Liv), so it’s easy to see that she’s the killer, especially since she kind of sucks at hiding it and they don’t tear away from her being suspicious. The boyfriends wasn’t as obvious, it it was clear to see Amber definitely was.
    I mean the whole family in 6 isn’t that obvious, mostly the sister, because they barely show her body or her kill, but the father definitely had leverage to trick us, since he did claim her as her daughter. Both aren’t that well written, but I think Jill is likely the least suspicious character, since she was playing chess the whole time.

    There might be some people who were shocked when they found out that these characters were the killers in these horror movies. But sometimes it's kind of easy to know who the killer is when there's one character or more who are awfully nice to the main character. Like in Happy Death Day, Lori is awfully nice to Tree and gives her a cupcake for her birthday. But later Lori is revealed to be the killer and her birthday cupcake for Tree is revealed to be poisoned.

Immediately people seeing this film should have known the antique dealer played by Derek Jacobi was the boy all grown up. Why?
