The Baltic is really understated and beautiful. Pops into my mind as a rival to the Explorer - and nicer looking. Tamika's watch and her photo are just fantastic. Thanks for the share!
You and I have very similar taste in watches. Somehow I always find myself finding your watch videos after the fact I have bought a new watch. But you always nail the facts and opinions. Subscribed. I can trust your expertise and I have found my opinions line up with yours too.
I bought this watch in this color and liked a lot about it, but ultimately returned it because the C3 green lume was always either yellow or greenish, except in bright light where it was white with a hint of pale yellow. I wish they had offered all the colorways with white/blue lume (BG W9) as with the cream and blue dials. I know that C3 lume is supposedly superior in terms Iof staying power, but I just thought it looked off and sort of sickly against the brown. I wound up going with the Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic 3,6,9 Tropical and couldn't be happier. Had I been in the market for a blue dial watch, instead of brown, I would have exchanged for that color. Love what Baltic is doing and agree this is a great watch with lots of charm and function, just not quite the aesthetics I wanted. Thanks for another great review!
Up until recently I would agree with you, but the other day my wife caught the crown of her Tissot 1936 Heritage on a door jam and now it’s in for a replacement. Maybe tucking the crown away on a daily wearer isn’t such a bad idea after all?
It looks a lot thinner than the measurements would suggest and I love the hidden crown. I know they are different prices, but as a dress watch for someone that doesn't get dressed up often, would you recommend this or a Nomos club sport.
I got one last week in the same color and I love it! The colors look like vanilla ice and chocolate, and I think the brown color would not have worked so well for me if the watch had steel-colored indices. It is quite a small watch, but both the nice domed crystal as well as the lugs, which are a bit longer than usual (only proportionally compared to the central part of the case) nicely counteract the smaller case diameter. The strap is nice, too. I just was a bit unlucky because the holes are spaced a bit further apart, so I am not getting a perfect fit. I will try it on another strap, too, though I cannot imagine it on a nato because of its rather dressy nature. I think I will go with leather.
Finally, a baltic i love enough to buy! Their dive watch - i didn't like the blue. Dive watch in bronze - didn't like the tone of the bronze. [Went for a christopher ward instead - love it!] Patek rip off - love the micro rotor but something's off... Went for a minty (unworn!) Gorgeous vintage salmon dial 'urania' instead... Also, that name! 😅 Sector dials - nice but not nice enough to buy. Their Chrono... Yawn... But this... This is special! and i am totally going to buy it! 🎉
Suuperb! as the "caseback man" you did not show us the case back!!😆 Joke aside, I'm impressed by this watch especially the lugs I love. I have a 36mm Railmaster and the general impression is similar...clearly inspired by the explorer type watch. Price is amazing too....As far as model kits are concerned, it seems Revel is German and Heller which used to be French seems to be now German too!!! Danke
Not poor quality and over hyped then...? How's it running? Not 9 minutes fast (or whatever that pissed off guy said)? I doubt it - this is a pretty standard movement, right?
@@fokkerfilms560 ??? I have had two baltics, as well as watches in the several thousands of dollars. These do not come remotely close to being poor quality. I don’t pay attention to hype - I liked the design and bought it
There is a black version on certain website where they made collaboration with another brand. Just dont ask me the name. I have seen in somewhere a few days ago. EDIT: "Baltic x Time+Tide Hermétique Night Mode"
It's gonna be a bitch but so is the crown on my captain Cook and I'm never selling that! No such thing as a perfect watch and I've been at this for almost a decade. I'm hoping this wee baby is my ticket out. 😅
DON'T buy any baltic watches, they are garbage. I ordered their MR01 for 605 euros, paid in full, in advance. I received the watch 7 months later. It ran 9 MINUTES fast per hour (not 9 seconds). The b.o.r. bracelet was very cheap, I have $100 watches with vastly superior bracelets. And the return process was a nightmare. They couldn’t: find my address, couldn’t send a prepaid return label. Wanted to refund my money to paypal when it was not used for the purchase. So I paid for the return shipping and they committed in writing, to refund the shipping cost. Then they refused to pay for the return shipping cost after receiving their returned watch. This company is wildly incompetent, and massively dishonest.
I agree the brand is rather hyped. I hope it's not another yema... But I doubt it. I didn't buy into the yema hype for a single second. They even looked cheap in the videos. 😅 (How much did they pay that wee English guy in Philadelphia? 😂) Baltic not so much.

One of the best micro brand releases this year! Bravo Baltic
I wasn't impressed at first but after your review i see that many good decisions were made there. Really a classy strap monster.
Tim sold me on the brown... I was thinking green... But no it's got to be the brown!
Stunning in it's simplicity
Great size. Drilled lugs. Interesting features inside a classic design. Very cool.
Wonderful size! 37-38mm is my sweet spot!

Glad to hear that, thanks a lot!

Great review, very detailed and crisp shots! Would have loved a normal crown but cannot deny the lovely symmetry.
Thank you.

I like it. Handsome AND a tooly high-congrast dial.
I think it could look good on mesh (as always!) or an engineer strap.
The beige is nice but I want those outrageous markers to POP!

I agree with you, your watch presentations are not too long. Just right.👍
This is a really nice looking watch. Thanks Tim

hmmm, 150m with no screw down crown. Thanks for reviewing Tim!
Thanks for watching!
A perfect size, love the crown "hiding". EDIT: 687,50 EUR price with taxes for my country. A bit higher price than my usual watches.
That RAF Seiko is very cool, never heard of before.
Love the seiko RAF watch 😍
Got mine, love it

wonder why no black dial offered??

Before watching the video, I'm wondering is the recessed crown easy to manipulate?
It is in fact hard to......⏱
Winding is nearly impossible. I can get a wind or two in with my nails and then rely on shaking it to wind it up

Thanks for your experience. I think that might make one wear it less 🤔

@@fullymechanical9055 paradoxically, it’s gotten me wearing it more since I can only really wind it by wearing it haha
Creativity has left the building. 😂 high lum 🤦🏻♂️
Cute watch but for $500 - not so sure as there are many gexcellant watches with better movements in that price tier
Like which ones?

I just wish they’d make a 39mm watch.

Interesting story. Is any of it true?
He's copied and pasted it this on almost any Baltic video on this and has gotten responses several times. Think he needs attention
Oh dear. Well, if there's any trouble with mine I will just head for their wee showroom in London and have it out face to face.
Is that a common problem with that movement?
My Hermétique is more accurate than my Rolex submariner
I struggle with this model. It feels like it’s too dressy to be a field watch and yet not dressy enough to work with a nice leather strap.
I like it. I feel it’s a style that works 80-90% of the time.
Looks like an Ali express watch. Baltic is the most overrated brand next to rolex
