It's such a beautiful watch. My only reservation is that crown. It's a plus for design but a minus for essential functionality on that front...but I may actually still buy it. I bought the Smiths Everest PRS-25 with the gilt finish and I really don't like it. This in blue would be my choice as I need a small explorer style of watch in my collection. Great review 😊
The crown thing doesn't bother me much, though I do love an easy to use crown. The rest of the watch is so well done that it becomes a minor point. If it was a hand wind movement and I had to interact with the crown every day, I'd feel differently. I personally can't get that green one out of my mind. I would probably get the beads of rice bracelet AND the tropic strap.
Yes, since it is automatic it isn't a big deal, especially if you wear it multiple days in a row. I'm the sort of person to wear a different watch everyday so I often have to set them everytime. If you don't think the crown will bother you, I think this is a fantastic watch. I wish I got to check out the beads of rice bracelet, that is my favorite style of bracelet. Let me know if you go for it!
Nice review, Jason! My pick is still the blue dial though. I love this brown dial so much but with my skin tone, I feel like it’s going to just blend in with my wrist. 😂
Good review. I don't understand why you would say you're glad they use sapphire "at this price point ". AE watches have sapphire for a hundred bucks. Even tho the movement was running within spec I wouldn't be happy with +15s/d and the low amplitude showing on your timegrapher.
Yes, but I classify AE watches differently. They have pushed the envelope in many ways, and the microbrands and especially the bigger brands are slow to follow. I actually really enjoy AE watches, but there are trade offs when you go that route such as with customer service.
Well designed modern version of really classic elements, but for some reason i feel it's a miss-match. Not in my eyes at least. Thanks for the review Jason, be well, have a really happy year.
Just picked up a green one. Love what Baltic did with this piece.
Glad you are enjoying it, thanks for stopping by! :)
Thanks Daddy Jason, good review 🎉
You bet 😉
Fantastic watch! Thanks!
😃
Thanks for watching!

Yes, that crown is a hate it or love it situation, ha! Did you review the Smiths? I'll check out your review!

The blue is stellar indeed. Yes, that makes sense!
I like this watch.
I was sad to send it back after the review haha

Fair enough! Thanks for watch and I hope you have a really excellent year as well!
France isn't on the Baltic! What's going on here?
