The cover made me so happy 😭 I really don’t see tons of Jane Austen content on this channel minus the 2005 Pride and Prejudice so seeing Sense and Sensibility (which is my favorite Jane Austen book and movie) made me SO HAPPY! And yes Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet were PERFECT as Elinor and Marianne Dashwood. Honestly they are two of the best book to movie adaptations of characters I have ever seen! I remember when I read the book for the first time and I then looked up the cast of the movie. Even before I watched the movie I KNEW that those two characters were perfectly cast. And then I saw the movie and knew I was right. I absolutely adore that movie about as much as I adore the book but I know that if the cast hadn’t been as perfect as it was (especially Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet in the lead roles) it would be no where near as good. Honestly I think everyone in that movie was perfectly cast. Their mother, the Palmers, Mrs. Jennings, Colonel Brandon, Edward, Willoughby….every single person in that movie was absolutely perfect in their roles. But the two lead’s definitely take the lead (😂 lol I didn’t mean for that to sound the way it did but it worked out) in that area. Emma Thompson portrayed Elinor’s quiet strength, emotional turmoil, kindness and gentleness perfectly. Kate Winslet portrayed Marianne’s out going personality, romantic heart and soul, drama and outgoing personality perfectly. Like…as far as book to movie adaptations of a character or characters go these two really are two of the best that I have ever seen ❤️ I adore this movie and book and I’m so happy that the movie did the book such justice
Mark Wahlberg & Christian Bale in The Fighter Julia Roberts & Catherine Zeta-Jones in America's Sweethearts Tobey Maguire & Jake Gyllenhaal in Brothers Mark Hamill & Carrie Fisher in The OG Star Wars Trilogy
America's Sweethearts! Everybody usually forgets that, and it is one of my favorite movies! Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta-Jones have amazing sister energy in that; it is so convincing! Love it!
when i think about on screen siblings all i can think about is greg and rodrick from diary of a wimpy kid- the og movies. they we're literally casted perfectlyyy
My personal favorite has always been Adrien Brody, Owen Wilson and Jason Schwartzman in “The Darjeeling Limited”. Such incredible and chaotic energy between the three eccentrics and the pure growth throughout the film for all three is just beautiful. ❤️ “I love you too, but I’m gonna mace you in the face!”
Strange Brew is one of the best forgotten movie gems. It’s my all time favorite stupid movie. Its a classic. We still quote that movie all these years later. “Take off, eh.” 😂
The cast of 2019’s “Little Women” was fine, but 1994’s version had the better cast of sisters, especially with Winona Ryder and Claire Danes. Nothing can top that version in my opinion.
The 1994 cast is good, but the 2017 cast of the Masterpiece Anthology version of Little Women is like eerily spot-on to their counterparts (for the most part) and the sisters all look like legit siblings But I guess made for TV movies/productions don't count for this list
In "The Godfather," I'm struck by how much John Cazale, as Fredo, facially resembles Marlon Brando's Don Vito, without having any of his cunning, patience and guile. Al Pacino has the same...stillness while thinking that Brando shows, without the actors being physically alike. James Caan and Al Pacino both seem to have that same intense energy, with Sonny letting it loose and Michael keeping it contained and controlled. Talia Shire connects to all of the other Corleone family members in terms of facial resemblance. The 'brothers" don't look much alike, yet they all seem to resemble her in different ways so you absolutely believe that all of these people are related to each other. Masterful casting!
*MY FAVORITES:* Elinor and Marianne Dashwood - Sense and Sensibility The Sanderson Sisters - Hocus Pocus franchise Ferris and Jeanie Bueller - Ferris Bueller's Day Off T'Challa and Shuri - Black Panther Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa - Star Wars franchise Greg and Rodrick Heffley - Diary of a Wimpy Kid franchise Charlie and Raymond Babbitt - Rain Man Loki and Thor - Thor: Ragnarok The Weasleys - Harry Potter franchise The March Sisters - Little Women The Ludlow Brothers - Legends of the Fall Jake and Elwood Blues - The Blues Brothers
I pick Thor & Loki; TChalla & Shuri; the Dashwood sisters; the March sisters( the one with June Allyson and Margaret O'Brien and the 1995 version). For the Lost Boys: I chose David and his brothers along with the Frog brothers. I agree with The Godfather's casting and Ferris & Jeanine
Little Women is one of my favorite books and the 1994 movie is again one of my favorite book to movie adaptations. The four of those actresses really did SO WELL at portraying their book counterparts individually as well as portraying the loving, tender, hilarious and fun March Sisters. This movie….I don’t know how to explain it other than it’s warm and comforting. Which is exactly how I feel reading the book. And this adaptation is just as warm, just as loving and just as beautiful as the book.
Where is Helen and Christian Slater from "The Legend of Billie Jean"? They literally looked like real siblings, and coincidentally, having the same last name made everyone think they WERE real life siblings

Thor is a god, not a demi god.
Benny and Joon
I hate to see this and realize Chadwick already was sick. He was so perfect. He will be missed forever.
But, he will not be forgotten.
‘Sense and Sensibility’ was so much fun 👏🏽
You should do this list for TV siblings who were perfectly cast.
Thank you for remembering Corey Haim. He was my favorite as a teen. He was done dirty by the Hollywood system. RIP Corey.
Emma and Kate were the best casting ever in Sense and Sensitivity

John and Joan Cusack ARE siblings AND played siblings in "Say Anything." That has to be some of the best sibling casting there is!
The sisters Dashwood and The March's are my favorite ones!
The awkward moment when you find out the actor and actress playing as siblings in Ferris Bueller were dating in real life
Mark Wahlberg & Christian Bale in The Fighter
Julia Roberts & Catherine Zeta-Jones in America's Sweethearts
Tobey Maguire & Jake Gyllenhaal in Brothers
Mark Hamill & Carrie Fisher in The OG Star Wars Trilogy
America's Sweethearts! Everybody usually forgets that, and it is one of my favorite movies! Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta-Jones have amazing sister energy in that; it is so convincing! Love it!

@@rubygracemoseley8144 i remember watching those movies and thinking "damn i wish i had a brother like rodrick"
I vote for Kermit & Fozzie as identical twins in The Great Muppet Caper.
Zachary Gordon and Devon Bostick as Greg and Rodrick Heffley were one of the best siblings of the early-2010s.
My personal favorite has always been Adrien Brody, Owen Wilson and Jason Schwartzman in “The Darjeeling Limited”. Such incredible and chaotic energy between the three eccentrics and the pure growth throughout the film for all three is just beautiful. ❤️

@bluecinderella4987 Yeah, I thought the 2017 version’s cast did a good job too.
Completely agree! That was my version growing up and I always wanted to have sisters like them.

The siblings in Nope.
Where's luke and leia Skywalker.
Fun fact George Lucas didn't make them siblings until the filming of rotj
I was enamored with Mark Ruffalo and Laura Linney in You Can Count on Me
Little Women is one of my favorite books and the 1994 movie is again one of my favorite book to movie adaptations. Also Mermaid's casting

Where is Helen and Christian Slater from "The Legend of Billie Jean"?

Marlon Brando was on this list twice once as a brother and once as a father 😂
Happy wednesday afternoon, Kirsten, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well

@TheJuiciestFruit no, i just know at what time they're gonna upload it, that's all
Chad and mindy from scream and also from scream, Dewey and Tatum
In Jack and Jill, Adam Sandler and Adam Sandler are perfectly cast 😂
From Pride & Prejudice (2005), Keira and Rosamund as Elizabeth and Jane.
I'm sorry, but I don't count the other 'sisters'.
No.
Jennifer Ehle and Susannah Harker were better in the 1995 miniseries as Elizabeth and Jane.
And Julia Sawalha was SO much better as Lydia.
Tuxedo
How could you make that list and not include Macaulay and Kiren Culkin? 😮
2 minutes ago? No comments?
refresh. someone always beats you to it 😏
