Fail youtube this came out in April and I'm just seeing this now. Better late then never, Dan it is nice to see you back! Please keep making more videos.
Glad to see a new video made by you. I always enjoyed your video's, talks, tips, and showing how to mig weld. Your blacksmith forge units with hoods for heating metal. Your a great person, I hope your enjoying the new life, and property! I would enjoy coming to Canada to fish sometime they are running. Thanks for always sharing Ron.
Welcome back! I've got one of those. The tank split open, to the left of the handle. It's basically a decoration now. They are more for low temp soldering, like plumbing work. Build a good shroud around it, if you put it into forge service. Thanks for the video. Be safe.
Yes, like many have said. It is nice to have an update from your neck of the woods. I can't remember how many years it's been since I first stumbled upon your channel to get some clues about welding and really enjoyed those vids and everything after that on the subject of forging (and everything in between). Best wishes for this new year. Looks like you got yourself a quality following looking at the tone of comments below! Peace out
So good to hear from you. I have certainly missed your videos. Good to know you are on the right side of the dirt. I used to have one of those blow torches that was missing several important pieces. I made it into a lamp and sold it to a mechanic who used it on his desk. Wish I had a picture to share.
Good morning from Ohio !! been watching your videos for 4 years and you're definitely one of my favorites . been missing your videos .just letting you know a bunch of us loyal youtubers are thinking of you . hope all is well !!!
I probably have a half dozen of these floating around. Used them with my dad heating soldering irons 60 years ago. Last time I fired one up was about 10 years ago with Coleman fuel. I am still here (unscarred) and it did the job I needed nicely. Anyway it looks like you have a nice assortment of good vids so I subscribed and am looking forward to exploring your channel. Many thanks.
Nice to see you man i have 1 of those torches at home and the only thing it is used for is a reminder of old times (for display) but it looks cool and grate to see how it works Thanks man and i hope i can say welcome back... atleast i hope you are back
Funny thing you did this video of those blow torches , many people now a days refer to the word of propane torch's of a blow torch which is incorrect as you know is incorrect . I do have two blow torch's and I never known how to use it until I saw your video .
long time again man... where's the videos ?, your the one who inspired me to become a blacksmith, and I have my own forge now. I hope you start making videos again
Good to see that you are back bro.....I never knew those ran on gas....for some reason keresene or white gas(camp stove fuel) ran them......learn somethin new everyday.....lol....anyways good to have you back.
So glad your back. Don't know what you've been going through these last couple years and if it's something bad I'm sorry. I was wondering if you still made/have some of the hobby forges lying around. I've wanted to get one since the first video years back was never able and then could contact you. Again sorry if this is a rough time for you and I'm just glad ur back!
thank you for posting this video. like many of your subs, as you can see by the comments, i was also quite concerned about your health and continued existence. im so very glad that you're still shiny side up. very happy to see you. next tyme you disappear, please give us some warning. rock on brother.
Can you show how to replace the leather cup on the plunger? and how to make a replacement leather cup, that fits well and will not deform so much as to not function,? like the many I have already made, tried and that failed. I would greatly appreciate this! Thanks!
Glad to see you again :) I appreciate that the torch is portable and doesn't need a big tank but I'm not sure I care for the explodey bit. Maybe the kerosene ones are better?
Thanks for the video I was wondering what I could do if the flame is at orange and won’t go to blue, also I really appreciate you talking about the viagra effect because it escaped my mind when it started to happen I guess I was just lucky my seals on the plunger were new
Interesting video, looking forward to seeing if you make a forge out of it. My bro inlaw had one similar that he tried to light and was more like a WWII flame thrower. Don't think he knew the proper technique, this might help if he gets brave enough again. Good to see you doing videos again.
Really missed your videos. Glad your back. Life happens, but your videos have taught me lots. Thanks man.

nice to see you my man..
why dont you use alcohol to prime it? no smoky flame, probably hotter and quite a bit safer...?
Always wanted to know about these. I think I'll stick with my air assist propane monster.
what are the rings made out of for the gasoline not to eat through them?
wow he is back ,, thanks for making a vid
Can you make a video of your shear, looks like it has been converted to hydraulic. Its in your older videos! thanks
welcome back man, long time.. are you getting back into blacksmithing videos ?
the hook on top of blow torch and the two little nipples at mussel of blow torch are for resting your copper "soldering iron" to heat or "preheat "
Interesting video, looking forward to seeing if you make a forge out of it. My bro inlaw had one similar that he tried to light and was more like a WWII flame thrower. Don't think he knew the proper technique, this might help if he gets brave enough again. Good to see you doing videos again.
