Marriage - from the beginning with Adam & Eve.... YHWH creates woman to be not only truly part of man (created from the rib of man) but a helpmeet suitable (partner in every sense). The most fascinating part for me that seems many I talk with haven’t stopped to consider is Adam calls Eve - bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh (a union inseparable) and they hadn’t even “known each other” yet.... something that didn’t happen until after the fall and being taken out of paradise... Adam instinctively understood the leave & cleave and that oneness and the set apart order of YHWH serves us best when we check our will (flesh) at the gate, and cleave to the interdependence of the cord of 3.
