Time really does fly! I remember when these buses were brand new and everyone loved them because they were so much faster than the previous. The new hybrids are awesome but it would be a shame to see the back of these old stock.

So this is unique material. Everybody should appreciate the value. This is the reality that was missing in all those DVD's and models of buses from London.

Great video! My favourite seat on that bus is upstairs on the right hand side just behind the stairs. You seem to get a great view as there are no seats immediately in front of you and much better leg room than the seats right at the front - Jonathan

The 343's B7L's will be missed by a lot of people, including me, and will be taken over by London Central (GoAhead London). At 5AM on Saturday morning, there will be NO Abellio B7L's on the 343. It will either be a Gemini Hybrid (GAL) or Alexander Hybrid (GAL) or something else.
Great video as always Anton, shame to see some lovely old busses being phased out of London, they don't make them like they used to as I don't personally see a lot of the new busses now lasting as long as the likes of Volvo B7TLs, especially in places such as London with the strict policies being set by TFL
Timothy Shiying 10 years is nothing for many companies outside of London, if the DDA laws and policies hadn't come in there would still be many Volvo and Leyland Olympians on the streets out in public service. London is one of the few places where busses are replaced so frequently and often due to TFL's policies, whereas if you look at other U.K. Cities such as Glasgow, Manchester and Leeds it's still possible to see vehicles out in service up to 20 years old still soldering on around the streets
SBS and HK bus lifespan is same as Glasgow, Manchester and Leeds; although car lifespan is different as it is regulated as COE and encouraged passengers to move to public transport. But anyway, TfL's policies is the same as Apple's iPhone 4S, although it is old.

LondonUnderground 9473 true but they're very old now, before they supplied these additional buses to the 343 they came from the 157 route after it moved to Arriva, and before the BL's got supplied to the 157 buses, they came from Abellio's Battersea depot, where the vehicles were commonly used in the 3 route: QB 2006 - 2011 (ROUTE 3) BC 2011 - 2016 (ROUTES 109 &157) WL 2016 - 2018 (ROUTE 343)

Hello Anton. It appears that Holland has many more doubledeckers than we knew. I'm very surprised that they don't operate in Holland but in London. I saw a small logo in the front of the bus in your video on the right of the name "Abellio". This is the logo of the Dutch Railways. I was very surprised to see it on a London bus. I did some research to find out that Abellio is a Dutch international company that operates under the Dutch Railways. Most of it operates in the UK. But you also find them in Holland (logical), the Czech Republik and Germany. The name "Abellio" comes from a company for public transport in Essen in Germany. The Dutch Railways bought that company and used the name for her international division. I wonder what will happen to them after the Brexit. Maybe they send all the London doubledeckers to Holland so that we can enjoy them here!

In Manchester - all our buses are no older than 13 years (2006) and we are currently getting new buses from Stagecoach (lovely 69 registrations), a completly new fleet from Diamond and all the old single deckers (2006 - 2008) buses that Go Ahead currently have will be replaced so their fleet is no older than 7 years. Some of the smaller, more community based operators have very old buses (but they don't have anywhere near the same money as the big national operators)
Very similar to the 2005 Volvo Geminis here that. Obviously NX at the time were choosing the voith gearbox on buses in the West Midlands and in London, obviously they sold the London operation to Abellio later on.
Those seat trims are National Express spec. Prior to Abellio it would have been Travel London which was more or less NatEx. When NatEx withdrew from London in 09 most vehicles and services were transfered into Abellio's own fleet hence why the occasional bus is still decked out in NatEx Spec.
there's a bus that goes from Bristol to Bath on the X39 route which has the same problem when you sit at the front on the top deck and your feet do get stuck and it's annoying and also it can be dangerous for passengers if they need to escape the bus in an emergency
E&C shopping centre isn't going to be demolished according to the BBC because the council didn't approve the redevelopment plans because locals objected to it because it did not include things like a bingo on the top floor etc

The Transport Hub ...I thought so....it looks like that livery has now gone from most of the buses at Walworth, except a few older enviro 400.

The Transport Hub no the travel London ones had the blue seats, then Abellio refurbished it into the grey seats, then the red ones.

the B7TL's have been here in Edinburgh and have been good buses for the 12 years they've been here, wish we had more of them

In ayelsford where I live the school buses are early two thousands or naughties volvos
In Cardiff there's Darts, Enviros (Most of them) Mercedes, and Scania
In Ipswich the oldest buses we have are 2002 Optare Excels and newest are 15 plate Citaro C2's Like cardiff!

I think the buses might have reached the bus lifespan. Like Singapore, the car needs to be scrapped after 10 years.

Pretty much. It’s all owned by TFL but different companies operate different routes
