Really enjoyed this video. I'm planning to switch from model aircraft and armour, to an 009 model railway. Your comments on building the kit, and on 009 in general were really useful. Thanks !!
Excellent build, Jason. The few mods you did were quite inexpensive should one choose to follow and still keeps this model well within the spirit of budget model railroading.
I have five kits I keep putting off - due to my lack of skill and confidence. I have two kinds of metal. I will have a go one day! I bought some BMRs stuff early on but I felt it was oversized when I built it. Yours looked great
Great and thanks very much for replying to my comment. I have a new video out now on the update of my layout plus a special remembrance too.. Hope you like and share.
Maurice Grimes Thank you. CA Glue (superglue) I used a non-runny type. For The plastic that the model is printed in superglue is definitely the way to go
Thank you. The Hammerschlagg loco was built using a few components from a 1/144 armoured train kit and scratch building the rest. It was the same chassis though.
gs425 I’ve only shot the vid of the chassis on my Overlord layout which is shown at the end of this video. The Kato chassis runs very smoothly but the slow speed performance will be largely down to how good the controller is. I’m a massive fan of the Kato controller which I would rate as good if not better than a Gaugemaster for DC running.

Looks really good. I hope to get one of their N gauge shunters.
Thanks. They're great little kits, you'll enjoy building it. My build took around 10 hours total

Thanks Jeff, yep just a few scraps of plasticard.....like most modellers I keep all my odds and ends for future use!!
A tip : watch movies on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching all kinds of movies recently.
@Avi Arturo Yea, have been watching on Flixzone} for since november myself :D

Thanks mate, I guess I'll need to build an OO9 layout now to run it!!!!
Enjoyed the video you put together. Hope there more to come.

Brilliant, thanks for that.
Am I the only one wondering why more people are not making videos of these?
Great mate-will look into these
Thank you
Very nice. Does it work the curves with wagons? I use Kate 117mm a lot; sometimes Tomix 105mm.
It just about copes, I could always lose the buffers to give me a bit more leeway!
Nice job. Looks good. What glue did you use to put this together? Cheers!

Magnificent sir!!! Is this how you built your diesel engine for your Hammerschlagg video?

Excellent sir. I must try to build one someday soon.
How wide is the loco?
Hi Jason. What method did you use to get the wasp strips?
gs425 I airbrushed the whole panel Yellow then masked up for the black stripes. Fiddly but ultimately worth it.
@@jasonpierce-newmodelbarmy3394 It looks great. Is there a video of it running? Would like to know how slowly / smoothly it runs. Cheers. Gary
