    Yes, taking breaks. Still working on it. It's hard. Sometimes I don't want to leave because someone will take the machine.

      If you watch a previous video about slot machines, it's explained that however long you play or put money in, it doesn't matter because of the RNG system, hopefully if you watch these guys video on this it will help you break that mentality and help you to a more disciplined gambling approach. 👍🏻

    This really resonates with me. I still struggle with this. Sunday I won a $5k jackpot. Was there the next night lost $800, played the next morning and won $400 back, went last night and lost $1300 and the urge to go back and try to win is strong. I'm going to try to take a 2 week break as I've been going to the casino 1-3x a week for the last 8 months. I enjoy going, so it's an escape from work and stress for me, but I need to control my frequency in visits.

      I totally agree!!! I should leave after my wins, but I almost always lose my winnings and then add it to it!!!

    I know what you mean about taking breaks, something my wife doesn't quite understand. Last weekend was an up and down affair for me. One our way out of the casino we made one last stop at a $1 ($5 min) Mustang Money 2. We put the last of our free play in and hit a bonus for $480🎉, which is something you can never count on 😅. We were still down a little when we left, but felt a little better. When the room and meals are comped it felt like a big win 😂. We weren't chasing, just completing a nice weekend.😊

    Solid advice. Set a limit and stick too it. That limit should be set so you can still come back and play later that day without going over your daily target. Still not fun when you lose, but it's going to happen so need to minimizing the negative impact. And hand in hand is your bet amount. If you have a $100 budget you cant be playing $25 a hand black jack or $10 slot pulls counting on a quick win to keep you going.

    The anxious shaky thing is real, I hate that feeling. Probably means I was gambling outside my comfort zone.

    I like the "reserve" idea. I never calculated that into my budget. I go with a chunky amount. Never deprive myself from playing and fall into the chasing, going from 1 machine to another and just keep losing.
    May, I'm going to Hard Rock Hollywood on my birthday for 2 nights and my "day" is My time to play.
    But the difference, this trip is I'm going with tools, budget, reserve, yr money box and the step away from the Casino idea.
    I don't know what is going to work or what I will actually be able to put into play.
    But, dam, for the first time, I'm heading there planning to make it work.
    Thank u for all these items. I will let u know what happened.😅

    I love when you actually gamble real time. It shows the reality of what most of us experience.
    So how do you explain all those slot channels bragging about humongous wins all the time?
    Is the casino working in conjunction with them?
    Are they really playing with their own money?

    • @kevinb4079
      @kevinb4079 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Most only show the wins. Many have the resources to be high rollers. You bet big and/or often enough you will have big wins. The only way to see what is really going on is to watch an unedited live stream. Nobody who plays slot regularly is coming out ahead.

    Budget and time to gamble is something to better understand--$500 dollars for a 2 hr trip is treated differently then 500 for an all day trip-suggestions?

    • @GambleSmart
      @GambleSmart  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Split everything up into "sessions" with 30 minute breaks in between. So, if you are going for 2 hours, do 2 sessions of $250 each. For an all day trip, 5 sessions of $100 each.

    The money part aside but important...winning or losing i do not notice or care how much time has passed cause I'm usually just enjoying myself. But wow when I look at the time I'm shocked that 3 hours have passed. It is definitely an engulfing environment

    Great advise, I think we all tend to chase once in a while. I have a budget for each day, but never take my whole budget down to the casino with me at once. I try to divide it up during the day.

    Hi you guys are awesome in your information. As I stated in the past comment somewhere in your blog - that playing the slots, if you don't hit, take a break , eat, walk it off, or just get out of the casino like I sometimes do. As I stated I'm an old school gambler from the past, last date in Vegas was 1987 and returned in 2022 for a shocker of changes that I didn't expect.
    PEEPS if You are old like I am now , yes it will be a bit confusion to you playing these huge Video screened slots - take into consideration they are animated not mechanical like the old slots - penny machines vary and can get you off guard if your not careful ! 1 cents can end up being a 5 dollar to 10 dollar machine. . Read the rules and its menu. I play the tables most of the time , take a break off the hard core and do the machines to relax. People a bit of my advice , time your plays like I do, 1 to 2 hrs table, 1 hr machine, break go walk around or grab a bite to eat and enjoy the scenery of people rushing to get to the machines it can be interesting to watch while grabbing a bite...,lol, thanks for the video... .really appreciate it.

    Hey Mark and Dave what is the best way to overcome " the uphoria" or excitement when you first walking the casino I have a hard time controlling my anxiety when I go to the a casino what's the best way to combat this besides walking around and I don't mean just looking for low volatile slots I understand that I'm learning different things from watching your and cowboy slots videos IT just happens to me every time I go to any casino

    I like taking breaks to not get too greedy. Not just slots but Baccarat, especially online. There's so many more chances in the 24 hr period so dont be in a rush to get all your wins

    Wife & I took a break from slots & walked outside to watch the last horse race (10th) of the day.
    Horse #10 was a beautiful horse with 10:1 beginning odds.
    I bet $10 for #10 to win. She did and I claimed $75. (Odds had dropped)
    It pays to take breaks!
    True story!!!

    Taking a break is hard! You feel like you've put in all the money and if I leave, the next person will reap all the benefit for my work! But logic brain says, that's not how it works. But emotional brain say "IT OWES ME!" My upcoming trip will be a good test for me.

      I wasn't winning and moved next to it. A lady sat down on my previous machine. She kept hitting. I didn't get upset and I told her she was getting paid my money. I was happy for her. We joked and had a great time playing together. Eventually, I hit the progressive. It pays to be happy for others winning. Karma

    Another great video. For me, this might sound weird but I actually buy my take out meal and eat at the restaurant in the casino before doing my gambling session. In this way I'm more focused and I don't give most of my winnings back to the casino. 🙂👍

    So enjoy all your info and advise. Even though I practice most as a long time player (55+ years) but one can always use a remiinder. Since I just love to play, the hours can slip by fast. Especially in Laughlin, when dealing with different time zones. Phone clock ( who wears a watch now days?) flips back and forth between AZ time and CA time. Thanks again, you guys are my morning go to for information.
