Optically superb and a great reticle! Very well built! Now for the downside:Sidewheel on top has many more downsides than plus points. Storage and carrying is difficult and not helped by the fiddly and time consuming method of fitting the wheel. The parallax mechanism is far to stiff, even with the extra leverage of the large wheel and there is no way that the wheel can be re-calibrated finely to compensate for changes in set up etc. owing to its fixed position using tiny torque headed bolts to attach it to the drum. When the wheel is attached it totally covers up the M.O.A. reference pointer and even the numbers cannot be seen without dropping the rifle down out of the shooting position. The idea of adjusting the cam profile on the focus adjustment to 'space out' the distance markings at longer ranges has been known for a long time and Leupold cams were adjustable back in the 90's to give larger or smaller gaps. This scope 'snaps' in and out at really close range, and 'wanders' in and out at longer range due to the position of the cam. This is unavoidable and just the opposite to the majority of FT scopes used successfully around the World. There is to much movement and room for error at critical ranges when pellet drop is at its peak.I think it is an excellent scope for full bore long range shooting with its one handed approach to adjusting and aiming, left or right handed. As an FT Scope it simply has to many design faults to warrant the high cost and I get the feeling that Kahles have tried to re invent the wheel when it works perfectly well as it is.

The controls - parallax included - being adjustable with ONE HAND, is a stroke of genius for high precision rifle shooters, since it lets you stay firmly in your position behind the rifle even when changing between targets at different ranges. Staying in position is fairly important, so that idea is very good! It may be possible to fine tune some design features, as Terry points out elsewhere in these comments, but a very good idea in my view. Keep them coming! I'd like to see the next version with a wider tube diameter for even higher light transmission, more reticles, such as the AMR and SKMR3 and 1st focal plane option for ranging, for those competitions that require that feature.
