Hi, When i leave off the gas,(seems moreso goin down hill) she makes a noise(sounds like bearings grinding),any info you could give on this would be a great help!
I got the same thing it happens right before it stops completely. Its the one way bearing. I was cheap and skipped replacing it when i did the wet clutch. I cleanes and sprayed it with litium grease. It helped but its still going out
Hello Sir it's always a pleasure to watch you work always very informative. I have a 2008 grizzly that I noticed it was low on oil but has no leaks could a oil ring be bad?. Maybe a video on how to repair the rings
What if I can't get my belt to ride on the top of the secondary clutch and there is a noise coming from there only in high gear it kinda sounds like a jet engine. Thanks for your video it helped out alot
Good morning, I have a yamaha Grizzly 700, it has 741 hours of use, it does not present noises, but I want to know that you have to change it by the hour to avoid major damage. Thanks for your help.
Gentle to mild use, my dads original belt has 150000km on it. His spare was on for 10000 after that and he went beck to the original cause it looked better. He has 26000 on it now. If your hard on it, really hard... I'd check it obviously more often and likey it needs a good cleaning of the grease anyways.
Good day John! I m also changing my belt now and facing a little problem. My primary schieve( english isnt my native, sorry), doesnt come in and out as easy as your does at 4:16. So I can put on a new belt. Could you help me please by giving a piece of advice?
@@bobeldredge282 I discovered the solution myself :) Untighten the nut, disassembly the primary clutch, inspect it and check sliders and weights. If they arent totally worn out and fit where they are supposed to, clutch chieve should move correctly. In my case, due to lack of grease and bad shape of weight, some of them were not on position and thus didnt let the mechanism work correctlt. So disasemble and look inside! From Russia with love :)
Need to clean out all that grease under the face cover. Inspect for damage. Yamaha sells grizzly grease its called. Then it should move alot more smoothly.
I have a 2008 700 Grizzly when I start it up at cold it has a little thumping sound in or around the clutch drive belt case, will stop when I throttle it, or after warms up for a few minutes, not really bad but when I throttle it you can hear it. Just wondering could the belt be stretched a little and maybe slapped the case? It doesn't really sound normal.
Mines the same, quite knocky at idle. At idle the clutch is not turning so any noise your hearing is engine noise. The clutches and belt only come i to play when your actually moving and also when your in neutral...
I just finger tighten them all the way and then give it a quarter turn. Real easy to strip small, fine threaded bolts. The bolts themselves are cheap junk and break easily if you overdo it, not fun when that happens! Lol
Ready for y'all to start workin on a raptor 700 hopefully it's a 06-13 year model
It's on the to-do list!
Great video. In general, how often should the belt be repaced?
Good video, do I need to grease the bearing carrier before I install it? And if I do what kind of grease should I use?
Thank you for your videos from Belarus! I hope you've shoot video about raptor 350)

My bearing carrier is stuck on. Any suggestions to get it off? Previous owner had it in water I believe.
How are you removing them bolts with a drill ? Got the same drill won’t budge them

Belt is good for 10,000 miles 10 year warranty
Probably lasts longer then that if that’s the belt warranty

My 2012 grizzly 700 has slowed to a top speed of only about 40 miles a hour could this be caused by a bad belt?
it could be the belt or electrical. Hard to say.
This are the same belt For Yamaha rhino 700 fi?

Early today I was going downhill on my Yamaha and suddenly it went downhill faster than usual I wasn’t even hitting the gas
Is the same for 03-06 Yamaha Kodiak 4x4 I would assume all ultramatics sets up are the same or similar.
Yes, my 2014 is the same as my 2001 Kodiak.
The 2 bolts u used to put in the clutch, can I use the ones u took of that holds the belt box cover?
Yes
Excellent video, thank you!
Is there a specific torque for the 10mm bolts for the cover?

The minimum in mm 28.4?
Yes , which is 1.118". He said change it at 1.125 so its apples amd oranges... swap it every 10,000km and you'll be fine..
