    It’s nice to see another artist with a messy studio. After 35 years of doing illustration and retired, now if I start a painting and it sits for months or years it doesn’t bother me as much as it does other people. I’m painting for the fun/learning of it now. Enjoy your videos and art.

      @@AndrewBarrowmanArt Sorry….i didn’t mean your outside plein air work although I always watch those [ they help me so much!] I was asking about how you finish your plein air paintings in the studio 😊 if that makes sense!

    You are so industrious Andrew, such a lot of great work, thanks for the tour, shocked by the damage to your returned painting I would be furious if it were mine.

      Glad you enjoyed it and thank you Anita. It’s not great when the paintings come back damaged but thankfully it’s quite rare. It’s usually the frames

    Great to see some of the paintings in the studio that we've watched you paint en plein air and I love seeing artists sketchbooks. Can you just explain about the brush cleaner, I couldn't quite catch what you said about it - I'm looking for ways to avoid using solvents and your brushes always look so clean!

    thank you for the studio tour! that makes me really upset that the gallery did not package/protect your painting correctly before shipping it back to you so it got damaged... this is one reason why galleries disgust me! one of many... youve got so many beautiful paintings there and some great starts to new ones... your skies with clouds are lovely!

      @AndrewBarrowmanArt  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you so much. Storing the work is often the problem as the galleries don't have much space. Also, it is often pot luck whether the work comes back in one piece with couriers delivering the work. It is usually easier with my local galleries as I can deliver and collect myself

    PS - Yes, of course I enjoyed it. And don't worry about making a mess, for Gawd's sake - we all do, and if we didn't we'd be playing at it.

    Andrew really good portraits, I though you was exclusive landscape. Thanks , it’s difficult keeping a studio in order because you change from one thing to another. But as you say “i know where everything is. Thanks for the tour.

    i enjoy painting on plywood. Wonderful work! Curious; what causes a painting to remain unfinished? Do you simply lose interest in the subject or is it just life intervening?

    • @AndrewBarrowmanArt
      @AndrewBarrowmanArt  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      that's a great question. I think I lose interest or it doesn't seem to work as I'd hoped. I don't mind as I have lots on the go at the same time. If I only worked on 1 at a time it would be devastating

      Well, you can't blame on the local scenery- spectacular landscape. I'm jealous-here in Michigan, U.S.

    That's a total shame, how gallery damaged the paintings!😮
    Absolutely disrespectful to the work of art and I sincerely hope, it doesn't happen often. Shame on them 😡
    Oh, it made me so angry....
    Your studio looks like Alladin's cave, so many interesting things in one place, and even equipped with stalactites of dried paint ( or stalagmites, depends how you hold that pallet) ! 😂
    Thank you for the tour, most interesting! 👍

      Thank you for watching and I appreciate your comments. Fortunately I didn’t like the damaged painting anymore but I would have been annoyed if it was one I really liked
