This song is such a beautiful song that really touches the soul of what real love feels like when you aren’t even looking but suddenly and unexpectedly it’s right in front of you and you can never not want to be with the one you love because “it’s golden.” You wake up immediately thinking of the one you love and don’t sleep until you know they are ok because you are still thinking of them through the night as well. That even if you only see them briefly because your day is packed with other commitments and responsibilities, you don’t want to see anyone or anything else until you see them again.
All too often we lose sight of what real love feels like, clinging on to less than we deserve, the “black and white,” form. But isn’t it wonderful when we finally see that “Daylight.”
This is an incredibly beautiful song, especially when sung acoustically on a piano, written by the incredibly talented artist we know as Taylor, and I love hearing it even in my mind, every morning when I wake. 🩷
