      Interior is really nice for this latest LS, but powertrain, tech/infotainment, exterior styling, handling, and price all let it down. I'd probably either go for the Genesis for its bargain price and nicer tech features or the BMW 7 for its class leading performance and imo best overall styling now that the latest S-class looks so crappy.

    I love the interior the best, whoever designed it truly cared. Many of the things I don't like about other luxury cars today is the stuck-up screens and dashboards that don't mold together at all (cough Mercedes Benz), but in the LS500 the dashboard is beautiful and everything flows together flawlessly, except for the touchscreen in the middle that is outside of the dashboard line with the clock. Looked better in the previous few years when the screen and clock were in the dash, even if it wasn't a touchscreen. I'm a stickler for thoughtful design, and I'd rather have a flawlessly designed and detailed dashboard than tOuChScReEnS. The new C class is the worst in this regard, they ditched thoughtful design for giant iPads.

    Im not really too big a fan of Lexus, i love their reliability aspect and all that, but im really not a fan of the current front ends. Only car of theirs i really like it on is the LC500. But i do LOVE the interiors on their top trim cars. Straight up Maybach/Rolls/Bentley level interior styling and design. Given the direction of the American truck market and the rise of luxury trim pickups, i wouldn't mind at all seeing actual top notch interiors like this making their way into those trims.

    I would take the LS 500 over any of the Europerans since reliability is Lexus' strong suit. I don't know about the Genesis and its reliability. I have a 2011 RX450h and LOVE the car! Never a problem but the tech is generally older. But I can live with older tech since it starts every time, it has no issues with anything - and to me, that is true luxury!

  • @bob808
    @bob808 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    The glass accents in the LS500 are _the_ coolest design feature I've ever seen in a production vehicle! The car as a whole looks good too. For some reason though, I feel this should either be a V8 or a BEV. A turbo 6 isn't a _real_ flagship, IMO.

    That interior is absolutely amazing looking those door panels are just next level. Little disappointing they didn't put the V8 from the LC 500 in it. The v6 they put in it does sound good fortunately but just seems to me an LS should have a V8. I think I would just buy an older LS for a lot less money you still going to get bank vault quiet comfortable ride which is the primary purpose
