'A day in the life of Sassy, by her foster mum 💕
It has a happy ending!
Sassy is a quirky character who needs lots of patience and understanding, she has a complex history and she is still grieving the loss of her previous mum.
Her old neighbours and extended family members tell us that even when fully settled, she has similar quirks so we know that she will need understanding surrounding the things mentioned in the video on an ongoing basis.
When applying to adopt Sassy, please consider the points in this video diary and whether taking on a dog with additional needs is right for you. We are always here to advise you if you'd like to know more during the application and matching process so please do note down any questions you may have.
We are already accepting application forms for Sassy (from child free homes on this occasion) but we will only be able to call applicants with more news when she is a little more settled, we do expect the matching process to begin fairly soon.
If you make the shortlist after your homecheck and discussion with her behaviourist, your family will be invited to meet Sassy. Whilst we are able to choose her shortlist, the job of the final decision about which home she goes to will be made by Sassy and any resident pets.
Sassy will need to get to know her future adopters at her own pace and spend plenty of time setting in with support from her volunteer team. Once adopted her support network remains available to her for life.
