Great lesson, great player. He's picking that B on the second string w/ an upstroke, though. He's not pulling it off. That's why it sounds so crisp. It def sounds nice the way he does it.
Nice lesson, I watch as many of your lessons (Dave Nassie) as I can, your alternate picking is impressive (this lesson and others) I wouldn't have thought a guy who played in a punk band could shred like that, I mean you don't listen to a NOFX etc album and expect crazy shredding, you're the man!
Great lesson! I have been trying to figure this out and you helped me nail it. Thanks for the upload!
Very nice playing and everything explained.
great lesson dude. helped me learn one of my favorite licks. could you do a brian may style lesson because i love his sound and you're the best teacher on youtube!!!!

HELL YEA,THANKS
No way I can play that fast..yet. But why the hell are people complaining about him doing so. It's not like he doesn't clearly explain what he is doing..and no he is not playing random notes at all, it is a fairly simple lick that anyone who has been playing for some years can recognize..If this is too complicated for you, though I don't see why a 4 note lick should be, there are plenty of videos for beginners. He is a great teacher in my opinion, and a great inspiration.
Hey ! please what are you using to get this sound ? Thanks and great job as always !
wie geil ist das den :) und so einfach :)
this is a great lesson, and tab and close ups are great, what kind of guitar is that? dont see to many les paul shapes with a whammy, sounds killer though.
santana!santana!santana!............but this lesson is cool too :)
Dave Nassie is the man.
nice
Stand Up And Shout!!
These guys have helped me so much in my guitar adventure!!! Been watching them since before they were "rockongoodpeople". I am now a confident lead guitarist but play more acoustic when I'm performing. WATCH MY CHANNEL FOR PROOF OF WHAT THEY CAN HELP YOU DO ON GUITAR!!
This dude was thinking that a shredder guitar in a shape of a les Paul was cool ten years ago?! My man! So did I!
I want to know what the Kramer Assault Plus sounds like! GC has it on back order!
I thought GC had stuff before anyone else did?! Everyone else has the Kramer and GC doesn’t! But back to this; This was very helpful
Hello and thank u so much for checking out this video and for your kind words - so appreciated! Hope to check out that Kramer soon! Świetne!!!!
thats a cool guitar, what with the matte finish and white binding and emgs and shit...please tell us more about it?
Could a Glenn Tipton style lesson possibly be in order?
@artistled I know he uses a Marshall (JCM 800 i think). Wah wah(often), chorus(some times, Reverb, (often the neck pickup on the guitar).
I guess alot of treble and some mids, bas.
He also uses his overdrive pedal which works more like a booster(i have one, its great).
something like that.
What guitar is this? It has an awesome sound
Do a lesson on how you get your tone!!
@bullshitproof the bridge pickup might be an 81 since the logo is yellow, but the neck pickup is definitely an 89 or 81tw since the logo is orange. Most likely an 89. The logo on an 85 is yellow. Also the stock pickups on most new hellraisers are 81tw/89
Have you got any recomendation for a guitar dvd that will help me play better?
Sweet

thats a cool guitar, what with the matte finish and white binding and emgs and shit...please tell us more about it? and it's kinda les pauly too
u seem really fond of that 85...
love that bleeding through sticker
What pickups are those? Sounds so clean!
Hello and thank u so much for checking out this video and for ur kind words - really appreciated. We filmed this lesson many years ago so I am not sure on those pickups, I think they were original to that guitar. You should've focused more in the vibrato thing since it is just as important as anything else and might take just as much practice to get it. Anyway nice vid. Makes me miss playing the e-guitar!
Very good point. No doubt there are people who struggle because their amp doesn't produce pinch harmonics well.
Oh that's so cool, he can play so fast, he's so cool, omg he's so good at guitar because he can play fast and wooooow so good, omgggg.
Dude! Aren´t you one of the former "No use for a name" guitarists? Amazing punk! If you are one of them I got one question. Do you still have contact with Chris Shiflett?
pls do a gus g. shred lesson
This cat rips it up! Easy thumb up.
can we get a Johnny Ramone guitar style lesson?
So with the double string bends. When you pick it are the strings basically touching under your finger? Or do you keep the standard distance between the two? I find it really hard to do that but I know there can be tuning problems seeing as the above string isn't bending as far Up to pitch, but with the heavy distortion and the aggressive sound would the tuning really matter on those chords? Thanks
do some synyster gates style!!
Where do i get that Schecter guitar and which model is it?
Looks like a schecter solo 6 hellraiser with matte black. Though maybe custom. Never seen one for sale. Sweet licks and great teaching. I thought you would be a douche at the beginning but you really knew your stuff. Great video. Thanks.
hello careca show !!!!!
3:14 "get that finger to pop off that g string..." thats what she said >.>
"Really, really agressive..." :D
It looks like a Schecter. I'm basing that off of body style from what I've seen around. I don't know model names or anything, but my bet is on Schecter.
You are my new god...
The only way that you could be any better is if you did a neoclassical style vid. By the way, what kind of guitar are you using?
This guy was in No Use for a Name!
@thegrouchboy
I Watch All Videos From This Channel Whether I Like The Artist Or Not. May Learn Something New.
Damn that fuckin dude can play. Great stuff.
@rampage222555 and typically 81 is bridge and 85 neck.
@manbearpig937
and no cheating with up-strokes or self-indulgent solos too
