  • A Neolithic Wiltshire walk of 5 miles that takes in just a few of the remarkable Neolithic sites of Wiltshire, including Avebury, Silbury Hill, East Kennett Long Barrow and The Sanctuary. It is worth noting that the Druids didn't actually come about until the Iron Age though! Silbury Hill took about 150 years to reach its conical maximum where as the Great Pyramid took about 20. It is possible that Neolithic people visited the site of Silbury to add to the pile of earth as it was near Swallowhead Springs, the source of the River Kennet that ultimately led to the Thames; water was obviously of great importance to their early agriculture.
I used the Insta 360 X3 camera along with a Purple Panda lav mic for sound. Enjoy #walking #righttoroam #neolithic #avebury
