We were there over the first weekend of October - in the rain! Amazing spiritual feeling from the stones, enhanced by the weather. A sub-two minute video really doesn't do the area justice. Some fantastic, characterful places to stay and eat in a beautiful corner of Wiltshire, about 30 miles directly north of Stonehenge.

Definitely recommend Avebury over Stonehenge (although that was interesting too). Hard to top getting to wander through the stones.
