Thanks boss! I've decided I go to Nipponbashi so often I want to make more videos like this where it's just documenting my regular shopping trip. Maybe I'll figure out a routine and can make the videos better for August and September editions ;)

my friends and i are planning a trip to japan, so we've been watching your videos to find out cool places to go!!! we are planning to stay a week in tokyo and then a week in osaka. thanks for these!!!

I don't know Tokyo so well but honestly I didn't love Akihabara - it looks flashy but the shops are scattered and pricy. Still an experience though.
Best in Tokyo is Nakano Broadway which has tons of second hand stores, and all of the "K-Books" named stores in Ikebukuro!
For Osaka check out all the Surugaya shops, as well as the Volks Showroom.
While staying in Osaka I definitely recommend getting out of city centers and taking a trip out to Nara to see the first civilizations of Japan and pet the deer, and going to Kyoto for the tons of temples and shrines, and local shopping streets.
You should do the same in Tokyo! (But again I don't know it so well)

@@Kiwi_In_Japan oh my gosh thank you so much for this! i'll be sure to note these down!! my friends were talking about wanting to see the deer in nara as well, so i'm glad to hear it be recommended too!! we'll also see about making time to go to kyoto; one of them was talking about how much they wanted to see shrines and the more "traditional" area of japan, if that makes sense, so i'm sure they would be more than excited to head there :D

I'm currently in Osaka. During all your Anime shop tours, have you seen any Gate merchandise? I've been looking everywhere... I'm getting bummed out.. I'm going to these locations in your video today!
Good luck!! I've never heard of Gate, and it looks like it's a novel series. If it's not an animation or a game I think it's unlikely to have merch unless it's mega huge. 🤔 An example that comes to mind is the early FATE series stuff, or Stein's Gate but those became anime series so maybe that's what led to merch from them.
Still; I hope you find something you like!

Probably not sorry..! I live in Osaka and flights or bullet train trips to Tokyo are fairly expensive. It'd be so cool to go though and make a video 👀
