Hi Masa! That was great to watch! I don't have a Grasshopper, but I think I will someday, and I will for sure modify it to handle better, this was really great inspiration! I enjoy listening to you explain things, I have lots I can learn still!
That was Awesome! I like that your mod doesn’t look overly complicated like others that I’ve seen before. It still looks like a GH and seems to work a lot better. It would be nice if you have written more details of you mod somewhere. I’m tempting to try this mod in the future.
Thanks 😊 it’s a big improvement from a Grasshopper rigid axle which doesn’t really move. I don’t have a blog or haven’t written in forums, so unfortunately it’s not documented. I highly recommend to try this mod though😉
Excellent work my friend! I have a couple of Grasshoppers, one with aftermarket oil dampers made to fit the stock location(which are pretty useless). I've always felt that the Grasshopper deserved a lot more appreciation from a mechanical perspective because it's scale looks are so nice. I'm also using the 380 sport tuned motor and aluminum motor adapter. Looking at your design makes me tempted to get a third model and give a link suspension a try...
Thanks for your comment! I was also debating what kind of mod I wanted to go with, and ultimately decided to go for link suspension. I got a double wishbone arms for the front, so eventually I’d install it as well. Good luck with your next build! I may get another kit and keep it stock for comparison.
Great modification. Would be great if you had a step by step guide to how to do it plus required parts, but I get that it's quite a lot of effort to make a video of the kind. Regardless if I knew how to that mod, I might finally decide to get the Hornet. Only reason haven't purchased due to the poor handling. Cheers
Thanks for your comment! If you really care about handling, you would be happier to get DT02, or DT03 and stick a Hornet body on it. At least that’s what I ended up with my Fire Dragon. It came out as an option body for Hornet chassis, and I was originally planning on getting a Hornet for it, then mod it. But thought twice and put the Firedragon on DT03 instead. My Grasshopper runs much better than stock. But not nearly as good as my DT03.
@@rcfantasy8406 So you are saying that an original Hornet body shell would fit on a Thundershot chassis? Cheers for the advice, I do already have a couple of DT03s and two Thundershot chassis cars. The only reason I considered the Hornet was for nostalgia sake. But if I can mod a Hornet body to fit on one of those chassis you mentioned I will consider it.
I believe Hornet and Firedragon share mounting points, and Firedragon/ Thundershot chassis being fairly narrow, technically Hornet’s body should fit the chassis. But the thing is, Firedragon body sits kinda weird like too much up forward on that chassis even though Firedragon kit came that way from the factory. Hornet body on Thndershot chassis would have same issue. Well, some people may not see as an issue though. You know what, if you have nostalgia with Hornet, I say go for it!! Cheers
Thank you for the video. applied your method on my grasshopper. it works really good.
這是我看到最吸引人的蚱蜢底盤改裝,也讓我有了一個新的方向,真是太棒了
説明が原理に基づいていてとても分かり易く納得。
Sick suspension set up! Grasshopper was my first RC car. Given me some inspiration to modify mine. Thanks for sharing
Thanks! Good luck with your GH mod😉
I love this :D very cool!

Thanks for your comment! The Grasshopper is very fun to see its transformation when you mod it, just like Lunchbox!

What an awesome and innovative modification! Thanks for the excellent explanation too! 👍
Thanks! Glad you liked my explanation!
Great Job! I enjoy your videos.👍
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed them😊
Nice conversion👍👍👍
