Yeah, it would be insano-crazy to encounter a different parallel dimension/universe version of yourself and realize they can't quite hear your inner thoughts, but the fact you're the same person they literally know exactly what you're thinking, and you them, that they might as well be able to hear your thoughts, because they're also their thoughts.
can anyone explain in simple terms who MM and his other personalities are? I have trouble understanding what actually happened by whom. Is the “successful” Elliot here the “actual” Elliot? Would he slip into MM (and who we watch for the majority of the show) for the hacks and such?
@@TheOMGbeandip Spoilers ahead of course: Mastermind, Mr. Robot & the Alderson family are personas created by (or "for" to be exact due to his dissociative personality disorder) true Elliot (the "successful" one in the world in the last episode). Mastermind's role was to encapsulate the true Elliot so he could live the life he deserves in created reality while Mastermind tried to make the true world better place for him. Mr. Robot was like a father Elliot never had, he was made to forget about all the wrong and awful things true father did to Elliot.

They need to do this because their existence was to make the real world a better place for him. Mastermind did it but got lost himself and thought he's the real Elliot after all. From the first "Hello friend" in S01 to the last scene in S04 it's not the real Elliot who we see - it's the Mastermind.

Besides the real context of the scene, this is definetely one of the most RELATABLE scenes of Mr. Robot. This is like me meeting the parallel universe version of me who lives the type of life I’ve always wanted. He is not lonely, angry, has no anxiety, traumas ect… Everytime I hear the line at 02:43 It’s like they are reading a phrase of my life in this show. Sure thankfully many of us don’t have 1% of pain Elliot dealt with. But I hope there will be a glimpse of positives in 2024 for everyone having similar thoughts and feelings…

The real Elliot in the loop-world is how Elliot would be in a perfect environment with a good childhood and life. The real Elliot was a lot different in the actual reality he lived in.
I can relate to this like an inner dialogue. We all have things going on that don’t conform to our outer shells. Things we would never advertise. If the two mix too much things start to fall apart.

This really hits me.. I actually Fantasize about having my own alternate reality what its like to be normal, was able to talk to my alternate self and became self-aware that you dont belong to that reality and this is exactly it.
I just understood the next layer of meaning relating to the “Back To The Future” franchise in “Mr. Robot”! The series finale is yet another “BTTF” relating to the chaos that ensues when an individual from one timeline meets himself/herself in another timeline, much like Biff meeting himself in “BTTF 2”. The ending of “Mr. Robot” can definitely relate to the rift in the space-time continuum that happens in “BTTF” when one meets their past or future self. It can also provide more literal relevance to how and why all the earthquakes are happening in that alternate timeline/universe.
Theoretically speaking if you met yourself in a parallel universe and came into physical contact it would create a paradox that could unravel and destroy that galaxy worst case scenario the entire universe. It would be something like matter and antimatter colliding. that's the theory anyway.
how... seriously? i dont see how this would work scientifically. just as much as i dont see that looking at your future self could break reality because it should only create a new future.
This would only apply to time travel. No paradoxes would be created from changing something in present time stream, unless that change was created from something from the future. Even if you are suggesting that the same atoms can't touch each other, the atoms in his hand are different than the atoms in his elbow. They just can't touch each other in the exact same spot relative to each other. Even then, it's a different universe. They most likely have eaten different foods and gone to other places. Their bodies are made out of different atoms. Which means that they are probably safe.
i remember when I first saw this, the next episode didnt autoplay so for 10 minutes I genuinely thought this was the end of the show. That the project was real and elliot got sent to an alternate reality and semi-kills and assumes the place of this elliot and tries to accept everything he's wanted. scary ass 10 minutes lemme tell you
I love these clips being uploaded but it’s very hard to not watch these if you’re still watching the show without it coming up. I finished it like 6 months ago (best show ever) and I found that some of the titles are spoilers in these TH-cam videos
Spoiler! I’m so glad they always diverted from becoming cheesy! Came close a few times but it was perfect when it was all over. The whole parallel universe thing was way too nonsense for this show. The “mind reading” thing makes sense now. Also glad for Dom’s & Darlene’s ‘ending’. Both ‘came out of their comfort shells’.
We don't know what the Whiteroses' machine was after all though. Mr Robot calls it fake but how would he know? He opposed when Elliot tried to prevent the meltdown so he clearly didn't have any intel on her project. It's silly and delusional but we can't be sure what was this "time machine".

Sounded like a dinosaur screeching but who knows. Personally, I prefer this show to be grounded in reality but I see why the show left an open-ending.

And those silly mysteries are making the viewer question the same reality because we're the imaginary friend of mastermind and we see everything just like he wants us to (just like in the 2nd season). It's beautiful.

The goal of fsociety is to bring down this mega corporation called E-Corp (or Evil Corp, as Elliot calls it), who has their hands in everything in an effort to erase all debt and effectively destroy capitalism. This clip is from the very end of the show where we learn that the Elliot we know isn't actually the real Elliot. The one in the vest is the "real" Elliot, and the Elliot we know is another of real Elliot's alters, who his therapist refers to as "The Mastermind" in the context of his personality system. There are other ones, but those are the important ones. This is Hacker Elliot realizing that he isn't really Ellio, but rather an alter of Real Elliot, who fantasizes about being a vigilante hacker. Everything that happens on the show really happens, its just that Elliot hasn't been the "real" Elliot for a long time. Hacker Elliot, The Mastermind of the Elliot's DID system, has been in control and orchestrating everything that happened. Hope this helps.
