  • Introducing the new Roland AIRA Compact series! In today's big announcement Mike's got 3 new gadgets to show off, the T-8 Drum Machine/Synthesizer, the J-6 Polyphonic Synth and Chord Sequencer, and the E-4 Voice Tweaker and Looper.
    These new Roland grooveboxes are tiny powerhouses and cram in some serious bang for buck! Each one is rechargable battery powered, has MIDI in/out as well as analog sync in/out and an external audio input. Plus, they each feature audio over USB, making them absolutely perfect for a compact, portable setup.
    We're really impressed with the AIRA Compact series, Roland have certainly joined the ultra-compact with a serious contender among their many competitors.

    At first I thought that the E-4 was the least interesting unit of the three. In the end, the E-4 demo was the best part of the video. Impressive little machines.

    Great video, nice details. These units seem to be very cool fun stuff. And as you - I will not be vocalist in front of other humans ... but this demo was cool! Just taking some speech and play around ... so maybe the E-4 can also be great fun. Thanks for sharing, liked and best regards, Stefan

    If you have the J-6 connected through the mix-in, can you use the sidechain on the T-8 so that it affects the Incoming J-6 signal as well? Thx

      haha, they'll pair nicely with a lot of the Volca range for sure!

    Do they come with the cord to sync them together? If not what are they called?

    • @StoreDJ_online
      @StoreDJ_online  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      unfortunately not, it's a mono TR cable with 3.5mm jacks required for the analog sync. Similar deal with the MIDI ports, but TRS jacks required, in other words, a standard stereo headphone cable

    Does the E4 provide phantom power or does it only work with dynamic mics?

    Huge sound with only 32 steps sequencer and no pattern chaining. If it will cost more than 150 bucks i am gonna say a big no

    Overpriced

    • @EnochDark
      @EnochDark 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Twice as much as all the Behringer boxes that may or may not ever be made and most likely will last at least 2x as long so to me they're priced what they're worth. Heck $200 is same as I paid for things like Uno and Skulpt. My Omnichord was $200 (10 years ago) and I see the J-6 as a massive improvement...

    • @frankieserious6512

      It's the Roland Cloud software inside a box, that's overpriced. If I need software I use better sounding Juno emulations, there are 2 or 3 different software brands that are better sounding than Roland. If I need a box I'll buy analog, so a higher price would be acceptable.

    • @EnochDark
      @EnochDark 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@frankieserious6512 No it's ACB. I avoided a Verselab bc of the "Cloud." I've been a Dawless producer from day one. Seriously though with gas almost 5 bucks a gallon how anyone thinks 200 bucks is a lot of $?

    • @frankieserious6512
      @frankieserious6512 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@EnochDark ACB is the same digital code written for a dsp that you find in the software Cloud version. The only difference is that the samples computed are digitally to analog converted by the sound card of the box VS. the sound card of your daw ( if you don't buy the box and use the software version). The comparison with the fuel price is nonsense, sorry. Everything costs more today, better keep your money and don't throw it on another software plugin inside a box. Buy cheap analog that sounds good to your ears. Just my opinion, have a nice weekend :)

    • @EnochDark
      @EnochDark 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@frankieserious6512 I didn't ask for an explanation. Again I don't have a DAW. Is it still nonsense for someone without a DAW? As mentioned in another comment I already have an Omnichord. Didn't ask for your opinion either.
