Once again, a top notch product. Everything you put into your productions is so appreciated. Yourself, Ron, and many others who have assisted you in your videos are a huge credit too the marble collecting community. I mentioned this new release in the forums yesterday, and one thing that stuck in my head with Ron's reply was him saying "We didn't have this kind of stuff too learn from", meaning videos such as this. So true. Take it in, folks! Thanks to technology, we can learn from some of the best in the business first hand. Once again, hats off to all the work, expense and time put into your videos. 👍

The very rare tablecloth and napkins you show had design printed to be embroidered. The little napkins were to be embroidered and the edges hemmed. That’s why you don’t dare wash that textile because the design will wash off, as it was supposed to do once it was embroidered.

Ahhh Janet OK I thought it was odd that it was a print . Do you think it was made that way so the buyer could embroider it as an arts and crafts project? Or do you think it was accidentally packaged before factory embroidery? Thanks for the comment ⭐️

Hey Stephen. I was wondering if there was a way you could help me identify some marbles I came into. I am so overwhelmed!

Stephen, were any of the items that Ron showed in the case UV glass? Great info! You are so fortunate to be able to spend time with Ron and his collections. Just to see all that gorgeous glass. Thank you for documenting all this glass for us.

The table cloth and napkins--those look like old embroidery prints! Bet they were meant for little girls to embroider and then crochet the edges to finish them.

So, in Roger Hardy’s Akro guide he has Chiquita by J Pressman made by Akro. So I’m confused. I have two Chiquita original tea sets as seen in this video but none of the glassware has the Akro crow embossed on the bottom unlike most of akros glassware. But why would Roger Hardy’s book have Chiquita as made by Akro? I would hardly doubt he would be incorrect.
Nevermind, his book is over 20 years old and my question was answered in this video…

Right, the research that Ron has done has changed the narrative for Chiquita/Akro. I think he explained it better than anyone could.

Freaking awesome, alley agate glassware is so obscure. Did Akro ever put their glassware in Chequita? I have a box of chequita but it looks just like Akro glassware but with no embossing Akro crow.
Also, good luck ever finding any of this stuff in antique stores or flea markets today. I find loads of marbles and other very rare things almost every week and I live 2 hours away from the heart of marble country. I’ve yet to find a full box set of alley or Akro, other than at Roger hardeys antique store for alley glassware boxes and he’s got them at market rate, although prices from the 90s. But still, no good deals and I love a good deal. You just won’t ever find these box sets today, unless you buy online and even at marble shows they rarely if ever show up for sale.

Hi Redletter, I believe Ron was saying Chiquita is strictly Alley. Are you going to the marble show in Mineral Wells in a week ? What is your name ? If you go make sure to say hi ! Thank you

I have a set of toy dishes without the box. They will be played with, so being collectible is not that important.
