    A few people have asked for videos like this, I'll get to the rest of the smaller maintenance items like this asap! :)
    Oh I forgot to add a bit to the video, for your 10mm of play, when this bike was dropped in the past it looks like the spring return was damaged, so you should have much more obvious and consistent movement than me :)

    Thank you for this video. Very helpful. I picked up a z1000sx beginning of the year and wondered what can be done to make the clutch go smoother without having to take it to the garage. Looks pretty straight forward and will do the job myself now. Thanks

      Glad it was :) It's very straightforward and has never not made a difference for me, it just gets ignored a lot of the time!

      Hahaha happens to the best of us 😁 It does seem to just be one of those jobs that slips below the radar, makes such a nice difference though :)

    Useful vid ta! Gonna be renewing clutch and brake cables soon, so timely too. OC - the only "real" job so far was chain and sprockets. First time doing it, and although I was quite aprehensive, it went well in the end (cheapo chain tool was the only mistake, now have a decent one). I found it quite enjoyable and very satisfying to have successfully completed it. Cheers, Andy. Oh, and don't you just love negative, worthless comments. Strange world eh!

      Most welcome good sir. Brake cables? Good sir this is not a bicycle ;) I kid.
      Nothing like getting a job done yourself, I take a lot of enjoyment from just sitting down and working through things like that also. Cheap tools generally last one use in my experience so I try to buy good stuff these days. A pricey endeavour tho!
      Haha I'm used to them, no idea why people bother.

  • @richardt.953
    @richardt.953 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Nothing unique nor special about what you are doing from similar videos from Years and Years ago. 👎 In fact your way gets pretty unnecessary and creating more issues when reinstalling and having to readjust and etc. 👎👎👎👎👎

    • @TheGorillaBiker
      @TheGorillaBiker  22 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Go watch those ones then 😀 I have never once tried to be unique or special, show us your video petal 😘
      Edit: Just to add, the "extra unnecessary bit" is to take the adjuster out fully and protect it with anti seize for years to come. You clearly watched that far but also bet clearly didn't listen. Video might help someone, the way I do it is the way I do it, if you don't like it there are, as you said, plenty of other videos.
