Designa spectres are the best bargains darts on Dartscorner i love them. V180 best pro Player darts. Im not so good with the patriot x but its Still a must have dart. Designa spectre also everybody should have. Also the bolides I bought and theyre very good i lobe the grip but i also dislike the swiss points The bolide 4 i maybe should buy for.25 euro. For the smoothies my hands were too cold i always have cold hands XD. I love Darts and this Channel😍
Excuse my naivety (stupidity) but question. Why do you use 2 sets, everyday and specific 'match' darts? Do they weigh the same and do you find it hard switching between the 2? Thanks
@@Rusco17 I find it easy switching between most straight barrel darts between 21 grams and 23 grams but most of the darts I throw are pretty similar...... my match darts are just the ones I feel most comfortable with and I am most consistent with. I will practice with my match darts 90% of the time but I like to collect different darts and I just enjoy playing with different ones from time to time....... I have about 15 different sets becase i just like to collect them.
Good choices there. I own all of these sets also. I get more mail from the UK than I do from here in the states lol. I have been grabbing some of the Red Dragons from Amazon also.
Haha, you sound like me. Always looking for a great deal. Amazon has been doing pretty good. I'm eyeballing the new(ish) One80's on Amazon USA right now. Just waiting for them to go on sale before I pull the trigger. Still a GREAT deal for $35 though.
I currently use the Designa Front loaded smoothies at 21g, best £22 I have spent, got my first 140's and 180's with them. Although with the weather turning cold here in the UK I am struggling at the pub with them so might try a scalloped barrel next :)
Yeah, smooth darts can throw a bit different depending on the weather. I struggle with them most in the summertime. They get too sticky for me when it's hot

I'm playing with the Jonny Clayton Lunar 50th Version since 2 weeks and i just love them. So well balanced with a grip thats enough for me. For about 45€ it's an affordable dart i think. But i'm buying so many sets of darts in different price ranges to try them out just to see how they are. Another set you could review on your channel are the Jamie Lewis Darts from Red Dragon. I think the are about 35€ so it's a good price and they are my all time favourite darts.
Nice video. Good information. While I know you focus on bargains, a good follow up would be an "if you like this" and want to step up, you would probably like this... For example, the Designa Dark Thunder is a great $22 dart. If you like that you can step up to a Harrows Predator and for a super premium, you could try.... Or try the Archers Phoenix which is very inexpensive and then step up to the Winmau Dennis Priestly. For super premium try the Mission Kuro M4. A lot of work, but in a world where few of us are near a shop where we can try then buy, this is a way to invest a small amount of money before thinking about spending more on high end darts. The main theme here on this channel is to point out that the price of darts has absolutely nothing to do with how "good" they are. So there's really no such thing as a premium dart. Only a premium price tag. Harrows aren't better than a Designa dart and a Mission dart isn't better than a Harrows. That's why I make these videos... To show everyone that these $20 darts are just as nice as ANY darts on the market regardless of price. High end darts with a big price tag are only for those customers that aren't well informed. Something American dart shops are extremely guilty of. They try to sell Designa type darts at ridiculous prices. Unfortunately American customers fall for it because they're tricked into thinking good darts have to cost a lot of money

got the 23g McKicks after watching this video. great darts. will have to try a light, smooth dart next. have yet to throw anything under 22g. was looking at a set of hankeys on UK ebay but did not want to pay around $150 with shipping...
All great picks the only other one that comes to my mind from past videos is the 20ish dollar barrels from darts clearance! I have the 20 gram set for steel and also just sent a 22 gram set out to that custom darts place in the uk to get them converted to soft tip cause I like them that much. It’s the same place you sent those 180 darts to get the broken point drilled out
I love the Dark Thunders and they could have easily made the list instead of the McKicks or the Target's. If I do a Part II they will certainly be on there 👍

Worldwide Darts Most of the time - yes. When I tried these with fast flights like “kite” - tail can be just slightly lower, but with all others - dead straight.
own 18 sets of darts including 2 that you mentioned in this video, the McKicks and The Designa Patriots. Totally agree as both those sets are in my top 3. My other favorite would be my XQ Vincent Van Der Voort also available on Darts corner, but only in the 26 g model now...mine are 24.
UK watcher here. Just bought Bolides 04 25g it's ever so slightly scalloped. I'll update it when they come. Iv'e had the Agora SP before and was so annoyed with Swiss Point, however Target have said they have updated it so they don't snap.
To be honest, most of the premium stuff coming out since ~2015 is not so great imo. Paying 60-80 pounds for an overly colored dart that will look horrible after using them for a month, priced so high just because of some extra lateral cuts on the rings, or some oddly shaped grip. My older sets like the Taylor phase 2, which you can get for under 30 pounds in the right place, are still superb. I throw old and new Andy Hamilton's myself, actually they are also a bit expensive, but 97/95% tungsten.
Couldn't agree more. A lot of the newer stuff hasn't done well in the market imo. To me it seems like there's a TON of dart players out there having great luck with the affordable stuff. 👍

From the most reliable source i can say. The darts MVG used all the time before his switch to Winmau he used Masterdarts darts. not the mcKicks premium white
I've heard a couple different stories and even one from the owner of Bulls Darts NL that seemed to make sense. Only MvG really knows for sure I guess 🤷♂️

I love my sky pros but I went back to the OG 21 gram harrows wolfram darts. Once you start getting on with them you will try others but end up going back and I'm talking about the original tungsten darts. I'd love to try the bolide but have to stick with one set. Great video and these would be great for anyone and beginners to find there weight. I'd through designa spectra in there #1

love the video and, as always, you're recommendations are awesome. serious question, though....I throw with a rear grip. thumb and forefinger pinching where the shaft meets the barrel, with the front part of the barrel resting on my middle finger. weird grip,I know, but it's the only way I can throw lol. do you have any recommendations for a rear weighed dart? I always feel like my dart wobbles slightly as it leaves my grip, and I'm wondering if a rear weighed dart would help. thoughts and recommendations appreciated. keep up the great videos.

I have a similar grip to what you described and I seem to do well with longer barrels. Maybe the One80 Dragons and depending on what country you're in you could always go with the One80 darts on Amazon USA. Style H is incredible.
I was looking to buy some new darts so I came back to this video to see what I have not yet purchased from your recommendations. I went to Darts Corner to get a set of the Target Bolide Darts but when I started looking for them I could not find them. It seems that they are not even listed on the site right now. Do you think they are just out of stock or have dropped them from their lineup ? I will wait awhile and check again for them. If not I see they are still listed at Double Top Darts. I really like the Patriot X and Smoothie darts I have purchased. One more question your Frankenstein darts did you buy them that way or did you switch out the points to the really long ones ?

Red Dragon is great but the only issue for North American dart players is they nail us on shipping. That's why so many of us use Darts Corner. The shipping to the USA is dirt cheap.

I have had the Designa V2 Smoothies 21g for 6 months now and hitting a lot of maximums. My # 2 dart is the Winmau 24g Blackouts. Friggin awesome.
Blackouts are a great dart. Impossible to go wrong with a straight barrel, multi ring dart 👍

What stems do you recommend? I have the mvgs and they suck. They break all the time where they screw in.

Red Dragon is great but the only issue for North American dart players is they nail us on shipping. That's why so many of us use Darts Corner. The shipping to the USA is dirt cheap.
@@WorldwideDarts fair enough, how much do they both charge for shipping? It might be an idea if possible to get a brit to buy the set for you and then reimburse them as I only paid £7.90 to ship a set of darts to the US a few months ago

What is tungsten?
Can anyone help please? I'm currently using Winmau Hi-Impact 2's which I really like other than the lack of grip towards the stem end of the dart. Can anyone recommend an alternative, same shape & dimensions, just much more grippy? Im struggling to find some. Thanks in advance.

Great video, recently tried a set of bulls v12, & pentathlon td 3. Both a great dart for the money, especially for a rear grip thrower. Check them out if you get a chance. Love to hear what you think of them

All the tungsten comes from China anyway. Nowadays all darts are decent 👍🏻
