I just dehydrated pineapple with mango and it was delicious! Next time I’m adding applesauce to fruit because the applesauce has a lot of pectin in it which will help thicken it up. My pineapple/mango was very thin and some of it was hard to get off the fruit leather trays. Next time I would use parchment paper on the fruit leather trays. Great video thanks!
Very practical way to preserve lots of food relatively quickly. Gotta love those big dehydrators. Will be putting our Excalibur to use doing this soon. We just finished four full batches of jalapenos last week.
You have this in America as well? My grandma used to make these kinds of things from boiled and hand-mixed grapes and berries. She'd pour the liquid on cutting boards and lay them out in the sun to dry. We call it Tkhlapi here in Georgia (in the Caucasus, not the US state). Great video, cheers!
Hi there, thank you so very much for posting such an interesting, informative, and easy video for everyone to learn from! I'll definitely try this. It is much appreciated, thanks a million.
Don - interested in knowing how long you can store your roll ups if put in a jar with the air removed? I am totally into dehydrating and storing in jars (have done a ton of various fruits and love to have them to munch on, but the leathers sound interesting too, if they have longevity) . Good video!
I put a link to the type of dehydrator that I have in the description--- I found one with analog controls instead of digital controls--- if something breaks I can fix it and not have to try to find the digital control that fits. I dried overnight and since it is high in sugars I don't think it can be over-dried , mine remained sticky.,
Making some now! Thank you!
Hope you enjoy

you are so welcome!
That is a very tasty and healthy snack. Cheers!
glad you enjoyed it!
Have you done a video on just plain dried fruits?
I love that you didn't cook it as other recipes before dehydrating!
Hi Donald, thanks so much for making these videos!
Do you have a dehydrator recommendation for this fruit leather?
yes check out the one I have linked with my description of the video
Where do you store them, refrigerator? And how long do they keep? Great video, thank you!
Months usually. The stuff you get in the store has a lot of sulfur and other preservatives
Can you give us a tour of your pantry? It’s got to be full of all kinds of stuff like this. 😄
will do!
Great video great information but I just can't see bananas and blueberries together yuck but if you like it good for you
What size jars are the applesauce how many ounces please thank you
I was thinking it'd be cool to try a blend of veggies and fruit.
I thought of the same thing--- give it a try and let me know of the results!
Ooo just found your channel. I just did a fruit leather video so I’m interested to see your method. I’m just getting started
Good luck!!
