    Thank you so much for sharing this video! As someone who has never been to the area, I was so excited and relieved to find this footage of exactly what I was looking for- way better than just looking at Google maps! 😊

      Agreed! This is one of the best walking paths to Disneyland. We love the garden and all the Palm Trees.

    This is a little longer than some of the others you showed but still shorter than the walk I had from our hotel in the fall haha. Oh how I miss walking through Anaheim to get to the parks. Beautiful palm trees and beautiful blue skies and weather (I shouldnt be jealous of the weather since it’s summer now but it won’t stop raining 😂) fantastic tour as always! Thanks for bringing us along! 😊💕

      The hotel is a fantastic choice and the walk isn't too bad. On your return trip home in the evening you can cut through the Grand Californian, cutting a significant portion of walking time, or you can exit near the Corn Dog Castle in California Adventure. Another suggestion is to take rideshare or ART in the morning to save your feet.

      @ so good to know about the short cuts you shared. Yes the hotel is a fantastic choice, looks so nice. it’s the long walk that is giving me second thoughts. Thx again for this video.

      It's not too bad and walking through Downtown Disney makes a long walk it a bit better.

      We stayed two days here and overall it wasn't bad. The walk home is much quicker since you can cut through the Grand Californian.

    Thank you we're staying here for four nights this December. I haven't been to Disneyland in probably 20 years.

      How fun! We absolutely loved the Westin. The area has changed a lot in 20 years! You will have such a fun trip. So happy the video was helpful. Thank you for watching!☺️

    We have never stayed here before. I think it is because it is really far from the parks. Watching this walk, I think this was one. I think we tried to stay away from the ones by the convention center. Very nice to see your walk. LIKE 11. 👍👍👍

    • @AnaheimParkTourist

      The walk back in the evening is not bad as you can walk through the Grand. We really like this hotel quite a bit and have no issues staying here again.

      Where do you enter the Grand when leaving the parks? I’ve never been and keep hearing this tip! Thanks!

    • @AnaheimParkTourist
      @AnaheimParkTourist  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @amy1277 hi! If you are in CA Adventure, you can enter the Grand Californian from the park. The entrance is near the Grizzly River Run attraction. If you are in Downtown Disney, there is an entrance to the Grand Californian near the Sephora shop. I saw that you liked our page on Instagram, I can send you a DM with screen shots from the app. Thank you so much for watching and have a great trip!

    Just catching up on videos after our trip! Fun as always! We decided not to go to Oogie Boogie Bash this year! We are currently looking at January or February for our next trip! What would you guys consider the best hotel within walking distance?

    • @AnaheimParkTourist
      @AnaheimParkTourist  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ohh. Hmm. Some of our favorites are Home2Suites (larger rooms, included hot breakfast) JW Marriott, Candy Cane Inn (no suites but has included continental breakfast) and the Westin.
      We haven’t stayed at the Courtyard Marriott yet, but really want to check it out as well. It might be a great fit for your family as it has bunk beds in every room and the bathroom layout with two showers is pretty amazing as well! Plus that water park looks pretty darn fun.
      Other places to think about that have larger rooms would be Desert Palms. They have tons of different room layouts and it includes a hot breakfast. I would also consider Park Vue Inn. They have suites and parking is free. Camelot also has a family suite and is close to lots of food options too. Hojo is also a great choice and they have suites available as well.
      Hope this list helps! Tried to think of places with varying budgets that we enjoyed that are a close walk. ☺️

    Watching now, but I noticed something interesting with this hotel. While others complain about it intruding on DCA, I noticed from watching a different video that even when viewed from inside DCA the hotel roof color kind of looks like horizon the ocean. Anyway, cool video!

    • @AnaheimParkTourist
      @AnaheimParkTourist  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is totally noticeable on the Mattercam but not as noticeable when you are in the actual park. Matter of fact, I don't think I even noticed the light during World of Color. It is probably the nicest hotel in the area, especially when comparing price to the Disney hotels. Thank you so much for watching.

    I really wish I’d spent more time at Downtown Disney, so much there to see.
    I don’t remember the monorail being that low to the ground before either?

    • @AnaheimParkTourist
      @AnaheimParkTourist  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is nothing like Disney Springs but there are some nice things to do there.

      @@AnaheimParkTourist Disney Springs has changed so much since it was itself called Downtown Disney.

      I have only seen TH-cam videos. It sounds like it was a lot of fun to go to. I do enjoy Disney Springs more, there are much better dining options and more things to do.

    Why doesn’t Westin offer a ride to Disneyland for their guest?

    • @AnaheimParkTourist
      @AnaheimParkTourist  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hotels in Anaheim have to use public transportation (ART). Years ago the decision was made to create a bus system that fed into Disneyland. Only a handful of hotels, like the Candy Cane Inn, are grandfathered in and can still use a dedicated shuttle. The good news is, there is an ART stop located right by the Westin. An alternative is to take an Uber or Lyft. Thank you for watching.

    Is it safe to walk at night from Disneyland back to Westin hotel?

    • @AnaheimParkTourist
      @AnaheimParkTourist  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Of course anything is possible. In September 2019 we had an issue where a homeless person came up to us and started to yell. We just ignored this individual and went on our way. This is the one and only time we have ever had an issue walking to and from the parks. Last time we walked this direction was in November of 2023 to go to Pixar Place Hotel and eat. When we returned back to our hotel it was around 10pm.
      If you are looking to stay at the Westin, and you are concerned, I would suggest taking an Uber in the evening. We have zero issues walking this direction. We have no problems walking this direction together.

    Cant you just walk through the Grand Californian?

    • @AnaheimParkTourist
      @AnaheimParkTourist  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can cut through through the GCH from Disneyland to the Westin. However, when going to Disneyland, you have to take this longer route. The GCH has an entry gate that requires you to scan a hotel key from one of the Disneyland Resort hotels to enter. You need to be an active guest or have a dining reservation to enter from this direction.
