This song, this music brings back memories. NYC in the 80s Heartthrobs, The Funhouse, 1018, The Tunnel, Emerald Cty, Roseland etc. Everyone had this cranking on there car stereos cruising down the block and on their boom boxes. It was everywhere, we couldn't get enough of it.
Damn, during my clubbing days in 1984. When it was common to hear a song like this at a hip hop jam. The good old days when hip hop and dance were under one umbrella.
BMX on the radio in Chicago in the early-mid 80's. My brother used to make the best mix tapes back in the day, can't believe I found this on the net LOL. RENEGADES THIS IS THE TIME AND AGE
bravo ,its always good to listen the amazing sound of the 8Oth even if we are in a 21st century. good to remember what was music before, thanx ya to Tina B and AK the eight will always be the best rooling ever.
The latin rascals were the best. production and remix credits: don't break my heart - safire one way lover - tka tears may fall - tka show me - cover girls inside outside- cover girls silent morning - noel january february - tina b honey to a bee - tina b i wonder if i take you home - lisa lisa arabian nights - latin rasclas mondolay - latin rascals
No, this is it... Like honey to a bee, you got a love will stick to me...like grapes into wine, your love is right on time... Chasity Colon, Juan Antonio
I think what really happend to this music was house, techno and salsa took about the latin vibe and since freestyle became over-ground got played out quick. Hip Hop did have something to do with it but most of us club kids that created and partied to this music went on to House Music and clubs like RedZone, SoundFactory and Tunnel. Without the Latino engergy, this music cannot be. I feel blessed to have been there and enjoy the scene to the max. From the Fun House to 1018 to Devils Nest.
