Regarding the lag between the videos and real time. It really doesn't matter, you guys are telling a story that is timeless. There is no need for it to happen real time or even close to real time. Carry on, you guys are doing an awesome job and we all love you lot for it!
SV DELOS, love you guys, not just for what you are doing, but also for giving people an insight in an alternative to life. Thanks, for entertaining us, and giving us a picture of our planet.
I truly feel like I've went on this journey with you guys. That means you've done a stellar job. I dont think another TH-cam story has ever moved me in this way.
Thanks so much for making these videos of the presentation. Awesome stories you all have. ❤👍🍹🍹🍹🌊⛵ someone accused you guys of trying to drown the guy in Madagascar. How ridiculous!! His boat was broken, he tried to steal Maggie. He was in the water and all you were trying to do was get him in Maggie.
I've watched about 80% of your videos as of October 2020, so it's kind of cool watching presentations like this one 3 years ago, whilst knowing so many of the exciting events and adventures that lie ahead of you. Pssst, 2017-Brian: There's gonna be a Nugget!! And she's gonna be the most awesome crew member, ever, but she's also going to make your hair turn grey. hahahahaha!
Hi, big fan of your videos and thank you for your life's dedication to document sailing, scuba and hoping for some surfing. In this video you spoke about running aground. Many years back I was going to sail around the world, and at that time shipping containers which had fallen off shipping container vessels during a storm was a big scare. The containers would slowly sink and for a time are just under the surface of the water, which if stuck by a 30, 40, 50.... 150 foot vessel, can be devastating. At that time, sailors were petitioning the U.S. Congress to enact a law which would require containers to have a dissolving valve. The theory being that after the container was in the water for a certain length of time, the valve would open and allow the container to sink to the bottom. Do you all know what the current state of such a law and are shipping containers still a risk in certain areas?
Sounds like a good idea. Hitting a submerged container would break the keel, rudder, puncture the hull, cause you to go flying through the boat or overboard.
Kazza you look Pretty as usual, Breyaaan - You have a Office Job Haircut did you go on an Interview? and Mr. Brady what 's going on? No tail or Man Bun? No Cut or maybe you did. If you did I hope you didn't pay for it - haha! Oh well just messing with the two B's, Ms K is Awesome you guys lose. The "DELOS" Vid's are the best by far of any (by far) on the TH-cam Channels. You three deserve EVERYTHING you have received because you have EARNED, LIVED IT, & SHOW what it REALLY is like. lol, JL
5:03 * I'm quite sure it's a NAS (network attached storage) instead of a SAN (storage array network) ! ;-)) Also today the totals views have already been doubled.
I guess it's the sailor talk speaking, trying to spice things up a bit, although my tech savvy heart cries a little bit when hearing this ;-)) In case you want to install a SAN, a good start would be some extra solar panels ;-)) I really hope you guys are not only relying on your local NAS (even it's in RAID 5) I hope you offload regularly some data to a local HDD and send it home(save place) as a backup. (or other method) Bon voyage
As a degreed film maker I can fully support the crew here concerning what it takes to produce one 30 minute program. Do not underestimate the quality that is being offered up here.
The last video I watched, 32 minutes, titled "Brady's dirty 30 comin' round the cape! Ep. 139 Sailing Vessel Delos", I felt like my time was wasted. There was not 30 minutes of quality footage in their. It was more like 10 minutes of story and 20 minutes of unnecessary fill. The video went on and on with things like "Oh, it's 3am and I'm on watch..." "Oh, it's 6am and the sun is coming up..."
Ok... So i'm watching your videos for a long time now but i can not understand what is going on with time. So when that event happend? Was it in real time after the sail to south africa? Because you said you returned in January but now its september. But you also said you had just uploaded the video when jose left. So i'm completely confused ... Anyway... Great job! Have fun, stay safe and thank you for sharing all this with us. Hello from Greece
George, I'm pretty sure this presentation video was shot while they were all on holiday when they left Durban during the holiday season of 2016. Roughly mid November of '16 to mid January of '17. This would have been after several months after Josje and the rest of the gang left in Madagascar, and Delos went to Cape Town.... back to Madagascar.... then to Durban. For whatever reason there is a pretty big lag (roughly 9 months to a year) between when there videos are shot and when they're actually edited and released as an episode. I would imagine it's tough to keep up with everything they have going on and lack of internet resources at their disposal.
oh.. now it makes sense! i had no idea they were so far behind.. it would be nice if the episodes had dates or something to keep track. anyway.. thank u!
It is even more easy to download an app on the phone which is made to pinpoint your car after parking via gps. Works fine. Same with an anchor alarm app. I use it on my boat when we sleep on anchor. Set the max range from when the alarm should go off and you can sleep
RE: Why do we make TH-cam videos? Because you guys get $47,008 a month.............. That's only $564, 096 a year. No biggie. But YES, that's why you do videos!
So inspirational to see young intelligent people making money living the lifestyle we.can only dream of. I'm so happy that make that nice chunk of change...I think they're worth much morexoxo

I love the way Kazza looks at Brian as he is speaking. Just so all of you girls know, that is the kind of look that makes a man better than he is.
Absolutely love your videos! No matter how my day is going, a Delos puts a smile on my face!
Great, honest perspectives. Appreciate the candor.
Definitely you are the best at making videos on sailing on youtube. Thank you!
Thank you guys! Love you all
I'm always a fan of your journey and your positive outlook! Thank you for excellent content!
Hi, very good to see you every day on the TV, I'm looking forward to your recordings here in Brazil. Good winds.✌
Adventurizing is not a word.
Sure it is. From Trautman and Trautman's Dictionary of Sailing Words and Terminology: adventurize, verb, to seek and create adventurous experiences.
Love you guys !Bravo !Best regards from Romania
Great great meet up. enjoyed it.

This was from winter 2016, and their videos are around 6-9 months behind as it is.
Wow just in 1 years it is twice the amount of views

Yes you are correct, it really is a NAS but we like the other name better.....

And their flipping burgers and making burritos why?
