@@CriticsConfession Oh WHAT! I saw Luther open up for Against Me! the day of my senior year of high school in 2013 and haven't forgotten about them. They were so good.
@@AyoWayo Yeah, Luther was a total underrated gem, and they had backing from some pretty big acts too, like Against Me!. I actually happened to catch their last show in this super tiny bar on the boardwalk in Jersey. Pretty sure that Nick was a roadie for The Menzingers at some point too.
Ian is such a good bassist! He always seems so happy and just vibing no matter if he is playing an intricate bass part or just something super basic. You can really tell he enjoys it.
No, Audiotree needs to update their recording equipment and their editing capabilities. they make a lot of bands that actually sound good live, sound like absolute dogshit.
So im sitting here thinking “man its been a few years, i hope mobo is coming out with something soon”... i had no damn clue they’re not even together anymore.
I actually dig this so much. I'm a huge fan of Modern Baseball, and I really enjoy and relate to the youthful sound that they have/had, but I also just highly appreciate how much Jake and his music have matured as well.
Don't know these guys from a doorknob.....but they were so amazing that when I heard them on World Café on NPR, I had to find them......the lead vocal guy has such a Lou Reed vibe that it is painful...….love them.
This is a really delayed response, but there is an audiotree far out session of him singing Acolyte. If you haven't seen it you should, look it up its so good! I like it better than the album version of acolyte!
love this. just listened to the studio recording of the album for the first time after watching things, and this sounds better. it really captures the vibe of their songs well
Dude I found them a few months ago. Glad the fanbase is still growing lol. Check out his other band Modern Baseball, and Modern Baseball’s drummer has a band called Steady Hands
I'm so glad Ian and Jake are still together, how the fuck have I been listening to MoBo + Slaughter Beach, Dog and not realised that it's Jake singing before this 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Same... met him back in November at his set in Atlanta, real down to earth. Even got him to sign a set list Ian had laying on stage! best night of my life (after the front bottoms concert i went to 3 days before meeting him)
Yeah, Jake and Ian are working on Slaughter Beach, Dog though it is more of a Jake project and they both work at a recording studio in Philly. Brendan is doing a string of shows with other artists, and Sean started a band named Steady Hands
Going into this, I thought the spoken word song would be my least favorite of the set. Now I'll watch this whole set just to get to 104 Degrees; so good.
freakin sweeetttt , I love this so much !!!! (3:18 how I feel when I'm playing gibsons lmao, never feel paranoid about tuning between songs when I'm playing my strat )
mcr did it, and rhcp got john back, tom is even hinting at getting back in blink. there is hope, don’t lose hope. i also have faith mobo will get back together.
lanzaa yes zack played drums in superheaven, both jake and ian (bass) played in modern baseball and guitar player who’s name i forget has filled in for balance and composure.
th-cam.com/video/bDKpkuOY8h0/w-d-xo.html check 10:18 in this video and you can see the similarities, it could be the same guitar for sure, just with a different sticker. Same vibe though certainly.
Fuck me, I was just thinking of finding out if any of the members of MoBo continued with music, and saw fucking Jake Ewald in this video... Edit: And Ian is there aswell... Darn, it's nice to have something about them released every now and then, but MoBo had a kick to them that I don't think anyone will.
Hewlett Packard is the dude who made the hp computers so he means that the hp computer screen was glowing with the “model in his desktop background bare”
they didn't break up. They are on a break for awhile because it got to be super stressful but all of them are still friends and the likelyhood of them getting together again is pretty high
HotSauceStain Modern Baseball is one of my favorite bands, but I hold the opinion that this is way better than anything MoBo has put out. It’s not a diss, just my opinion.
My heart literally broke when Ian said" our old band Modern Baseball" ....RIP MOBO
Yeap :(
I think the second guitarist was in Luther too, RIP Luther.
@@CriticsConfession miss the real mobo

Absolutely psyched to see that the bassist from MoBo is also in this band. Both talented musicians.
Dude was rocking in this session
his name is ian
Ian is such a good bassist! He always seems so happy and just vibing no matter if he is playing an intricate bass part or just something super basic. You can really tell he enjoys it.
Anyone else feel like these Audiotree sets sound so good they almost make studio albums sound lo-fi
It’s the room, and the light compression!!
I absolutely believe the engineers at Audiotape mix it that well. No magic. Just good sound guys.
a solid sound engineer can make a fart sound like Sinatra
No, Audiotree needs to update their recording equipment and their editing capabilities. they make a lot of bands that actually sound good live, sound like absolute dogshit.
like, take a look at Sugar Shack Sessions. their recording is phenomenal.
So im sitting here thinking “man its been a few years, i hope mobo is coming out with something soon”... i had no damn clue they’re not even together anymore.
Thumbs up, but sigh. Such sad news. Been years now. But this project has really grown on me. I hope the other former members of mobo are doing well.
I actually dig this so much. I'm a huge fan of Modern Baseball, and I really enjoy and relate to the youthful sound that they have/had, but I also just highly appreciate how much Jake and his music have matured as well.
Ian's head nodding brightens my day
omg, when i saw ian--all hope was not lost.... also, its so weird seeing jake playing a gibson and not a tele...dayum times changed
Ariel Coloma I know eh 🙏
Lowkey I feel like the Gibson fits him better then the tele
Was thinking the same thing. I've only ever seen him with a tele or an acoustic guitar. I literally bought a tele because of him haha.
@@weirdskyreallyweird.5519 he played strats mostly during sports and you're gonna miss it all

This band is just so good. If you haven't yet, see them live. Ugh I love it!
Holy shit this might be the best most underrated audio tree sesh I've seen

A little sad that they didn’t play Acolyte, but this is still hands down the best Audiotree I’ve seen since Pet Symmetry

Man like Ian Farmer. Hold tight, my G.
Ian's tone. Holy shit.
"I feel so old admitting counter-culture makes me tired."
I've been listening to this band non stop since I discovered them 8 weeks ago
Dude I found them a few months ago. Glad the fanbase is still growing lol. Check out his other band Modern Baseball, and Modern Baseball’s drummer has a band called Steady Hands
Two members of mobo and they’ve got the drummer of Superheaven
superheaven was GREAT
That guy is my favorite host! Get him in there more often!
he's pretty much the host for all of the more popular bands
my favorite host is the one that did the session for mom jeans
I commented on the one with him playing the far out session saying to get him in for a full session thank you so much
9:05 sounded like Bren ngl
Ethansics woah ur right, kinda wack
I'm so glad Ian and Jake are still together, how the fuck have I been listening to MoBo + Slaughter Beach, Dog and not realised that it's Jake singing before this 🤦♂️🤦♂️

Sad that they didn't play Your Cat tho
I'm hella sad they didn't play Bed Fest
is there anything better than seeing and feeling everybody getting musically consumed by the outro of 104 Degrees?
crazy to think about how mobo had their final show a month before this was filmed.
I LOVE YOU JAKE

Meeting Jake was the single most nerve-wracking moment of my life

Is that the dude from Modern Baseball
Yes. The singer and the bass player are both from MoBo
njc2o no u wrong he from the rolling stones
But why tho did Morden Baseball separated?
Mobo's on an break for an unknown amount of time, they just had some "farewell" shows in Philly. This is Jake's own project.

AMAZING!!!
Nick Harris from All Dogs!!!
so dope
Do they sell CDs of the Audiotree stuff. This is the best live recording I’ve ever heard
