you show up in all the cool comment sections
we know u love mr jake ewald haha
Plastic Guitar lol
Plastic Guitar sometimes mediocrity is just enough.
I feel the same about you, brah.
God he's such a great songwriter
He seems at peace in these new songs...
The Bagel Bros I think he got married! That would probably help with some sense of security I’d think.
He’s much more confident in this style. The lyrics have never been better.
The crowd singing along when he plays "your cat" is beautiful
Jacob Ewald is the essence of acoustic set
the version of gold & green in this video is just magical. the song drips with nostalgia
wow i miss shows
came back after At The Moon Base, so beautiful SBD have changed my life
Always seems to get better. This is the best these songs have sounded. Can’t wait for another tour.
I'm not sure why but that subtle distortion on the low end sounds so good and it really puts this set over top, simply stunning
it does! think ti's just the camera mic + a snare rattling with the vibrations most likely
everyone of the live videos on youtube oh him are phenomenal
I remember discovering SBD during covid and this being one of the main videos I’d watch over and over again. Back then I thought I’d never be able to see them live (or any band for that matter) but finally after years of waiting I’ll be seeing them this fall just outside of Baltimore ❤
Round back September time the youtube channel Alfo Media pointed me in the direction of modern baseball. I quickly fell in love with their more 'soft indie/rock songs' like coals and pothole. The more i fell in love with the band the more i wanted more. And, given their indefinite hiatus, i was kindly pointed towards Jake's more soft indie rock folk lyrical genius band Slaughter Beach, dog. So I've been here a while now, and given the lockdown i've been diving into their concerts on youtube hoping one day i'll see them live. So big up Alfo Media for bringing me here, not to sure what the point of this comment is guess I'm just looking for something to do hahah.
Lola Tester i saw them on my birthday in september, we were the first ones there and i got to meet jake. last night i was listening to a podcast from september and am now just listening to him and this video, this band means so much to me and gives off this feeling i’ve never gotten from anything else. you said you didn’t know the point of your comment, but i’m glad you said it because i could read it and say all this back. feels like to have a little sense of community around the music. i hope your day has been doing well!
Will Peterson Hey Will cheers for the reply i completely agree. Something about hearing exactly why bands/songs are meaningful to individual people is really special. In slaughter beach dog's case maybe its because each song is a little story with so much meaning packed into every lyric, just allows it to instantly spark conversation.
I teared up listening to Monsters. I miss live music more than anything else in the world right now.
The recording/ audio here is spectacular. I love hearing those raw sounds of what's happening in the room as he plays. It really sets the mood and makes me feel like I'm sitting there next to him taking it all in.
it’s still wild how the song at 22:10 hasn’t been released, maybe in 2022?
im waiting for it!!! i just covered it on my channel lol
love the greg mendez shoutout before monsters, his new record is beautiful and totally up ur alley if u love slaughter beach
greg mendez gave me my acoustic guitar, a japanese penco from the 70s. love that guy
Especially looking forward to a studio version of the new song at 17:50, awesome work! Consider stopping by NC when the covid stuff is over
It's probably coming soon!!!!
it's out now and it's brilliant
whaddya know theyll be in carborro and charlotte in december :D
@@harper.the.confused super hyped for this... and ill be right next door at unc so this is perfect :)
Thank you! I was waiting for this upload. We were to the right of you!
Literally thought of 12:25 the other day ✨
Love Jake and all the mobo dudes. Hope you guys are doing swell, miss you all terribly.
This was DAYS before COVID
the second new song never fails to make me tear up, no idea if Jake reads comments on videos of his own live performances, but thank you, i hope that song gets released soon :)
I love Jake but if I went to a Slaughter Beach, Dog show and Ian wasn’t there I’d riot
Great musician! I needed this!
why does his voice have to be so damn beautiful
GREG GREG GREG
The crowd singing along to "monsters" was beautiful
One of my fav songs!! Truly a special and lucky moment to be able to capture it!
isabella, if you’re reading this, i love you💞
back before the world blew up
help, i think getting the other band back together will cure my cabin fever.. and depression
Jack Nicholson thumbnail in full effect
This is my comfort video
I think this is the best slaughter beach, dog set list out there. All my favorite songs. Not to mention the lights, the intimacy, the small moments with the crowd...you can't beat it.
I sure hope his dear wife is his biggest fan. Surely his mom is! Such a gifted musician!
farquaad
This was an amazing performance but everyone is talking about his hair
i come back to this one all the time
Anyone know the name of the song at 22:10 ?
Im pretty sure that's unreleased. As far as i know this is the only video where he played it. Guess we'll have to wait
@@matkocmilansky5397 it’s called “live again” he played it in some recent virtual show kinda thing
I miss his short hair cause it was really cute but cool music.
I think his hairstyle now is pretty cute too lol
i like his medium hair it's super cute
I can't make out what song he said at 34:04 that inspired Gold and Green. Can anyone help??
just married - glocca morra
His hair looks like Lord Farquaad
mans looks like a virgo
He looks like Matt Chevalier from TMP haha
22:10 this new song is so good. Can't stop listening
