    Oh dear, what a chaotic situation… 😅
A few things that stood out for me:
    • They are calmly watching their car burn, but do not call the fire department?! (At least one person could have thought of this before the volunteer arrived…).
    • Good job telling the cars to move and asking people to step away. If the fire had gotten worse this could have prevented further losses/ a much bigger fire.
    • I do not think it was the right idea to move your bike back. It was positioned quite well to begin witch, acting as a barrier to warn oncoming cars and redirect traffic around the accident. When you moved it back out of the lane, cars immediately pushed their way all the way out to the burning vehicle and there was more congestion. The space that was originally created between your bike and the burning car could have been beneficial for arriving emergency services to use.
    • I am not sure if retrieving the belongings was the right decision. In the end it did not seem to make anything worse. But opening up the doors could have fed the flames with more oxygen, while keeping them closed might have helped to contain the fire to some extent.
    • The police officer in the tow truck did not seem to know how to position his vehicle to secure the scene. He was also not wearing a high visibility vest, and did not do much to ease the flow of traffic around the scene until that truck literally got stuck… Seems like better training is needed here.
    • Overall you as a volunteer seem to have had the biggest positive impact on this situation by using your fire extinguisher, telling people what to do, and getting all the right agencies involved. Well done and thank you for selflessly helping others!

Wow, thank you for your wonderful comment, regarding my idea of moving the motorcycle backwards, I think my position will block the police cars and fire trucks that will come later, so that the professionals can't get to the scene quickly, and if there is another fire or even an explosion, it will endanger me motorcycle safety

I like your great and detailed reply:-)
I think he moved the motorcycle because where it was standing, was it creating more of a bottleneck, as long he kept the blinks on, did it do its job.
About the belongings, the windows were open, and the flames were extinguished, so opening the door slowly would not bring more air into the situation, while if it suddenly caught fire would all their belongings get lost. It may have been smart to put it back into the car when the bad weather came.
The rest of it do I 100% agree with. :-)

      我觉得最好把这个出口封闭,一是为了安全,二是引导出去的车去下一个出口而不是在这里堵着,方便后面的警车消防车快速到达。至少等警察来了以后,也要尽快封闭这个出口

I am curious as to how you know where to respond, another comment says this is illegal so I interested to how official this is. How did you become aware of the situation before the fire department was notified? Do you have communications linked to the police or EMS department?

In fact, there is no way to obtain legal qualifications in Beijing, which means that I have always been in a gray area for installing sirens, but unfortunately I was punished by the police for illegally installing sirens a few months ago, and the sirens were confiscated.

I guess it's not that the battery pack is burning, it may be that the collision caused a short circuit and ignited the interior.

    我觉得你可以跟应急或者120协商一下,挂靠一下关系,这样争取拿个审批把警报器给你装回来。要不然按照规定也很麻烦,交警也很为难。

@@beijingvolunteerfirstaider2203 100% if this happened in england, we'd cordon off the area, just incase it burst into flames again, we've had it where you've had to fight the fire for hours, reignite, fight it for hours, reignite, fight it for hours, tow it, whilst driving with it on the flat bed, reignite, pull over, fight it for hours, and then what we do, is we have a special place where we put the vehicle, once transported, just so that its not in a regular scap yard or accident yard so it then doesn't set other vehicles on fire lol i know a crew who emptied an entire engine of foam onto the car, they then closed the road and sat there, 5-6 hours later, it suddenly burst into flames again for no reason😂

@beijingvolunteerfirstaider2203 Here in the Netherlands the Dutch firefighters have to hire companies that can deliver truck with a dipping container on the back. After sufficiently extinguishing the fire, the cars can be put in such containers to let them rest for 3-4 days until the battery packs are sufficiently stabilized again.
