I highly agree with your advice to be independent and take advantage of a bad situation. This quarter for one of my classes, I had a bad professor whose lectures made absolutely no sense. While all the other students complained and gave up, I began dedicatedly going to TA office hours and discussion section. That really made a difference in helping me understand the content so I began rising up and getting perfect scores on assignments. I also started using my knowledge to help my other classmates who were struggling, and they loved me for that. Eventually the TA's and professor took notice of my amazing scores as well. I became the mythical unicorn student who everyone loves. It was amazing!

But the credit goes to the lecturers, like you worked hard , your frnds worked hard, you guys all scored well, but the credit goes to the lecturer who taught you which is annoying ? This happened with me😅
the first tip is so true !! i used to be so envious of students who got awards such as trophies for the highest grades while i never did anything to have the highest grades. now one year later, i had the 2nd highest grades in my grade and i won a merit scholarship to morocco by the school. i’m so proud of myself of course, and always remember hard work pays off!

11th grade for me had been and still is one of the toughest year in my life. I found myself constantly demotivated and having no energy to devote myself to studying or any extracurriculars. I became exhausted and kept comparing myself to when I could study 3 or 4 hours straight. I found myself watching many "motivational videos" on youtube of study tubers giving me tips on how I will become "perfect" by doing this or that. Your videos are the only ones that I have found which is honest and don't make me look down on myself for not being able to study as I did before, while at the same time, slowly pushing me to get my work done in a way that doesn't exhaust me. Thank you very much, Faye, for taking your time to give us the best and healthy tips to maximize our productivity!

Being a straight A student 10th grade and suddenly witnessing my own downfall took a huge toll on my mental health.
It did get better in 12th grade tho .....but I'm still trying to get myself back to my old self

I relate to this on an unimaginable level, 2022 was my worst academic year so far (11th grade). I really really wanna make 12th the best one.
A lot of people can relate to this including me. I assume you are from India and that is the problem of most of the students. I just gave my 12th boards this year.
I just want you to know that this hard time will only help you grow more and you will notice it yourself aftee some time.
Instead of focusing on motivation you should focus on your mental health or mood swings, that will help you more.
You are going in 12th std so I would advise you to not take too much pressure because it will just ruin your performance and focus more on positive things as that will help you perform better.

I love how you always give new tips and not being repetitive. I liked the one for maintaining a good relationship with your teacher cause believe me it comes in handy a lot of times. For example, I remember missing the deadline for one of m assignments once but my teacher gave me a couple of days to submit because she thought that it would be a shame for a missing assignment to drag down my grade because it does seem like I care bout the subject. Such a simple thing but can take you places.

I have an example for that too: my chemistry teacher and my biology teacher have received the message of me loving those two subjects very well. I am very passionate about both of them and my chemistry teacher is an actual star at supporting our class. I had this opportunity of doing the scholars programme. Basically I had to write an essay (my first ever one) and get a grade university style. I got a 1st for that and I told my chemistry teacher. She said she was really interested to read it and after reading it, she sent me an email telling me how proud she was of me. A couple days after, she sent me a list of essay writing competitions based on STEM I could do and I thanked her a lot as she made a point that even trying it would be very beneficial to add to my CV. I am so grateful to have such an amazing teacher for the subject I care about and my biology teacher is also very supportive!

This is exactly what I needed! My bridge course which Is like an introductory course for the next year is going to start and I wanted to take my studies more seriously and actively start building a profile for universities and I can’t wait to apply these tips. I used to be a class topper back then but from 2020 to 2022 it was a hard time for me. Family problems, school, covid and many more. I lost my confidence. But someone recommended me this channel and I'm glad they did. 3 terms before I was 25th of class, and then I was 15 in 1st term, 2nd term I was 10th of class and for the third term I'm waiting for results. In this May I'll be facing GCE exams and I'm studying while doing a part time cuz I have to pay for tutuions. It's exhausting but I got two good friends and confidence. School teachers also help me a lot. I managed my life as a basketball player, first aider, student and a friend. Of course Faye helped me a lot with that! So I recommend you guys this channel!

Hey Faye, you're doing amazing. Just a polite suggestion if you could make a video on how to gain confidence(despite facing rejections and failures) as a student. Many times I let opportunities pass because when the last time I tried to take advantage of it, I lost/failed at it. I'm afraid that I might be troubling the teachers by constantly asking things to them. I'm so scared to take up anything that many times, teachers come to me to offer positions and high level competitions to me but due to my lack of confidence and self belief, I either deny or perform horribly.
If you could, it'd be amazing. Of course you can choose to not make such a video since others might not relate.

Faye, we all can agree that you are one of the most reliable and practical on youtube. You came into my life as an angel and I'm being honest. You don't know how stressed I was about my future even though I'm a 7th grader and the part where you mentioned things you can do to if your friends aren't interested in studying really hit me.
Even though I have a so-called "all-rounder" student, who is thought to be unbeatable in studies I still needed advice as I wanted to volunteer. Thank you so much again, as I was ALSO burnt out and have a science exam and fair next week. I re-gained motivation and resources back from your video.

Hey Faye loved the video! I was wondering if you could do a video about studying with chronic illness? Or about maintaining balance in your life in general? And not feeling bad about not studying and taking time to rest as well? I would love to hear your tips on maintaining the balance and not feeling guilty of not always working!❤❤
I was just told a surgery 10months ago "failed" (it was ment to put my illness essentially in remission but it didn't) and after being able to actually study full time for past 9 months I'm finding it extremely hard to give myself time to be sick again and not study or do something "productive" (even though I know resting is productive as well, but you know what I mean.) Love your videos and would just love your take on this❤
I agree with you . I'm an asthma patient and I struggle from attacks every once in 2 weeks. Sometimes I just can't bring myself to study on those days nor am I motivated enough to do something productive. It's been hellish, my grades went down since getting sick so often & felt anxious and guilty for not doing so well in my classes. Even though I know I'm doing my best I felt so disappointed with myself and I don't know how to overcome that and start over once again.
@@geetuyadav4766 so sorry to hear that and I feel your pain. I'm asthmatic myself as well with my asthma reacting to cold weather so during winter (end of October to start of May cause I live in Northern Finland) I have to limit going outside which includes walking to university. I also have severe endometriosis (had a hysterectomy last May to remove/prevent pain) and like I said it's now back where I can be normal one day and the next I won't be able to walk without opiates during a flare up. It's so dang hard to create a study system or even harder a study habit when it is constantly being cut short with being sick. So yeah, I get the struggle of grades dropping and for me the worst is falling behind and watching friends graduate with their masters even while I still struggle with my bachelor's. That's why I was hopping Faye could give some insight on how to adapt to the situation and take enough time to rest without feeling guilty and maybe how to build study systems that don't require you showing up every day at your 100%.
I am starting 7th grade soon and I was really nervous but when I watch her videos I feel relaxed and get a lot of motivation. I just love her study tips and I am so ready to use them ❤❤❤❤
