its not that its out of reach its the fact that the majority of us arent stupid enough to support prices like that. idc if the cost of living went up, the cost of living increasing doesnt make a truck go from 30k to 60k, thats just greed corporate using their bs excuse for their criminal price tags. a 1500 5.3 truck should be 40k brand new and the midsize truck should be 30k brand new. there needs to be a legal cap set in place to prevent these bs markups

People are keeping their cars alot longer ....no payments ,lower insurance, lower registration... But you must do your own maintenance...also having a good neighborhood mechanic is a win too. All rhe prices are house prices just a few years ago for the pickups ! Plus interest on a 84 month payment plan ... which will add 1/3 the cost of the pickup.

Chevys fix is just to shut off all safety features per GM engineer. They now have had our truck for over a month with no loaner and sending their “team” to Arizona to look at our truck. They have put more miles on the truck than we have!! I would love to share our story with anyone willing to share with a platform. Thanks for another excellent video, measuring the market on the new car craziness. The car dealers and manufacturers greediness over the past few years is still there. I would totally balk and walk at these still crazy prices! It just makes me love my used 2016 Toyota Tacoma SR5 quad cab. May the dealers "go and kick rocks" asking the consumer to pay so much for a vehicle.

It's just ridiculous. Sell your vehicles. Did they forget how to sell volume. Give the consumers discounts and low interest rates. If you sold your vehicles at slightly lower than MSRP without any shenanigans and markups.
You would have made record profits, and we would all have nice vehicles.
Instead, greed and stupid prices will equal no ones going to buy your products. Now we all are not going to even try. A new truck costs as much as a small house used to. Keep shooting your foot, and we will not buy anything.

I find this insane. Insane because in Casper, Wyoming I got my 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT with black badging, blacked out Aluminum 20 inch rims, and the 3.0 Duramax Turbo Diesel 4x4 for $54,126.00 off the lot. MSRP was $59,218.00, with dealer "mark up"(destination charge) it brought the truck to $61,026.00.This was in April, salesman comes back into his office, slides the paperwork in front of me and says, "So congrats on your new truck, here is your price, $54,126.00 and a $2,500.00 GM discount..." I financed it, and they applied my $2,500.00 discount (my 2007 Chevy Trailblazer wouldn't have gotten me that much on trade in) as my down payment. So I got essentially a $60,000.00 pickup for $54,126.00. Now don't ask me what taxes and registration cost in Wyoming at the County Treasurer's office..... Okay I'll tell you. $2,818.58 in taxes. $1,000.00 for registration for a year.

I’ve put after tax’s including a $900 mass tea tax about $3,500 into it to make it nearly as clean as it was off the assembly line. Runs amazing shifts flawless stops on a dime and the front end handling after $1,200 in parts is almost too tight now. The paint is immaculate the interior immaculate minute a crack in the dash I can fix for $400. $16,500 for an suv that’s payed off looks brand new vs an $85,000 Tahoe. I’ll take mine every time.
