You can tell Alexi sat down and practiced all his songs and nailed everything down unlike past few years where he was sloppy playing some parts live on stage. 5. I think the reason they sound so good and play with such great energy is because there’s no infighting and tension between the band. They can just have fun and play the music while being technically spot on.
So that would be it for Bodom After Midnight. It ended as soon as it started. Very sad. I switched to more classic rock and heavy metal music long time ago, but CoB and Alexi were huge part of my teenage years and early 20s, I still love to listen to their music from time to time. I can't believe that guy's gone. He will be missed.
That was a very good rendition of this incredible song, the whole band is very tight and Alexi seems in great shape! Now the band really needs to add Mask of Sanity, Wrath Within, You’re Better off Dead and Kissing the Shadows to that setlist!
This new band is a huge improvement. Especially the keyboards! Finally one that doesn't feel the need to drink on stage, actually cares about his performance. And the drummer is a fucking powerhouse!

Wow! Second video I've heard from them, first one was Knuckleduster and I was really disapointed but maybe it is just a song that doesn't work great live. But THIS! Omg it is so tight, so powerful, love the keyboards in a way I have never heard before in Bodom, all the band is so tight, Alexi is like I have never seen with a voice that kicks asses... And this SOLO was so rapid it was a huge slap. Now I am very impressed with the new Bodom, it feels dark and energetic! Love it good job guys!
Thats what i was thinking now, this sounds so much more energetic and with more fun than the actual line up since years... its so sad we won't see this live now or listen to what they would have recorded with their Napalm Rec. contract...
After being a CoB fan for the last 20 years it's really weird to see Alexi with a completely different band. They sound awesome though! If live shows ever come back I'll be front row at their first gig in the Netherlands!

alright, now i'm less concerned about replacing janne. and it's simply good that jaska is not there anymore - he was one of the most boring metal drummers out there. the new guy looks pretty good at what he's doing. and henkka was lucky to be in the band. he never had a lot to offer that would've been close to alexi's and janne's talent. let's see where this is going
i agree that this guy is a great replacement for janne, but saying that jaska was boring, or that henkka didnt have lot to offer is something i just cant get behind. henkka is an amazing bassist, his lines were always awesome, and his backing vocals espescially during the last few years of him in the band were absolutely brutal. but yea, i still respect your opinion. \M/
