Jimmy I just made my first coin bell . Turned out pretty nice after about five or six tries I finally got it . Thanks for walking me through it with your videos !!!
I’m glad my videos were able to help you. They are a lot of fun to make and it does get easier the more you do. Thanks for the comment!!!
Just want to say thank you Jimmy for the coin bell videos . I have ordered the tools and I’m going to try to make a few thanks so much !!!
You’re more than welcome. It’s been a lot of fun. Feel free to ask any questions that may come up during the process.
Thanks
GREAT VIDEO. Thank you for your time. If you ever feel like showing different styles, shapes, and designs of coin bells I think it would go over really good. thanks again, Chris.
Awesome video
Excellent coin bell series! You have several techniques that are different than I’ve seen elsewhere, and they all work swimmingly well! The JB Weld instead of solder is a neat variation, and opens up bell making to the masses that don’t like, or want to, solder! I’ve always been baffled by the fact that the smaller quarter bells won’t ring good, but the half dollar ones do! I’ve always soldered mine, but on the smallest size bells I can’t get a decent ring! In closing, great video, and why can’t viewers go to the description to find the topper source? Like, how many people can ask the same question in comments!?! Thanks, and Merry Christmas!
Thanks Jimmy you made another good quality video. Your bells look fantastic !!!
Thank you very much for your positive comments. Many different shapes and sizes of Coin Bells out there. The shape I made in my videos are my personal favorite. Thank you again!!!
I haven't made quarter sized, but do alot of silver rounds and half dollars, I like the ball bearing for flaring, as I've been using the large folding cone.
Fantastic video series. I just want to thank you for making it. Keep up the good work.

Where did you find the bell tops
Thanks for a really great series. I loved making these bells!! I do however have a question about the clapper. I am making them out of clad quarters using a 3/4 punch out but they just don’t sound right. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks for the kind words! I’m assuming that since you have large punch outs 3/4 as clappers then your bells are made from dollar size coins?
I always make sure the clapper edge is hitting against the rim of the skirt and not inside. Try a better hanging position or even a smaller clapper. Also, Bells made from silver coins will always sound better than clad. None of my clad bells have ever sounded as good as my silver or copper bells.
The same holds true for bells that are made from really thick coins unless they were made from silver. Hope this helps some?
@@jpcoincrafts Thanks so much Jimmy. I am making the bells out of quarters, as I love the size. I will try some out of silver and see how they sound. I will post some pictures when I have a moment. I also love how you use the harbor freight lights in your press I stole your idea, but now I can see. Again appreciate the time you take to show us your setups and processes.
Where did you get the screw topper
Thanks for the question. I get them from Amazon. The link is in the description box.
Where can you buy the toppers?
I have a link in the description box. Got them from a dealer on Amazon.
Why not soldering it?
@@Goodellsam you can solder. I’m just not set up for it. However, I do get cleaner lines by not soldering.
