Avo’s Tear is probably my favourite weapon in all video games. I really hope it makes a return in the reboot. Edit: also I really appreciate this channel, the only high quality Fable lore channel on TH-cam. I always wanted to know who the graves were for in the Guild.
I always felt that the first and second story were both true, after it was forged and lost over time I always felt that it came into the hands of a guard in bowerstone then it was used to close the vortex like in the second one. At that time no one know it was Avo’s Tear but due to the closing of the vortex and being fused with the souls of the other three great heroes is why it became so powerful along with how well it was crafted and forged and such. At least that how I looked at it growing up.

I wonder what would happen if the sword of aeons and avos tear we're magically combined together into sort of a double-sided sword staff or even what would happen if they went head-to-head directly. Granted it said that they're equal in power but hard to say for sure who knows what would happen even if the two of them came in direct contact with one another
My question is.... what happened to Avo’s Tear? You would think at least Theresa would have had it or sealed it away. If not the Hero himself upon his death. Could it still be at the bottom of Bower Lake? With the Hero’s grave?
Perhaps the Sword ordered to be created by Nostro would later be known as Avo’s Lamentation due to its power, but Avo’s Tear was created when the portal was destroyed. An alternate theory is Avo’s Tear was nothing more than a lookalike of the Sword of Aeons. It was just a chunk of ornate steel and when the portal was destroyed it was given powers to match the Sword of Aeons.
I don’t think the heroes of those tombs at the guild that give you the weapon have additional lore on them other than what’s written about them on those tombs. A shame too cause they could have been like the 4 great wizards of Hogwarts from Harry Potter
Considering that, even fully upgraded, Avo's Lamentation is nowhere near as powerful as Avo's Tear, I'm inclined to believe the story about Solcius and the evil wizard, and that they're two different swords
Lionhead studios was pretty dumb the Avos tear has a cool back story sure but you get it during the dlc and like 20 minutes after you get it you get the choice of giving up your silver keys to a demon door for the bereaver also I hope since the new game is set between 1 2 we will see oakvale get destroyed along with the guild
