The moment you realize she caused every death and loss in your life in Fable 2 is insane Even though the marriage and family system in fable was never that deep or developed I grew very attached to my kids in a plot device sort of way so when they are killed it made my blood boil
@@KillerGothChick It's more than a "Stupid spire" it was built by her ansestors long ago in the old kingdom. It was build completely by Will causing it to open the void into their reality, after the void was closed the will caused it to blow up spreading will all across Albion, well that's the short of it anyway. Essentially with Will becoming more prevalent in Albion again there is a chance the void may open again leading to terror and attrocities happening once again. Theresa needs to be in the spire to control the will and all that.
When I started piecing together that Theresa was the orchestrator of almost everything that happened in Fable II, it honestly blew me away how they made, in my opinion, an unsuspecting anti-villian out of her, where they don't really confirm it, but strongly leave hints at it for you to suspect. And I loved it, and made me appreciate the game and story so much more.
Also, it's very likely that Theresa somehow killed luciens family. She figured out she needed the power of the king and as soon she returns to Albion she learns that his family has died. Nah that's too much of a happy coincidence for her. An example to back up this theory is that she was also the one behind the death of Hammers father. Right before her father died Theresa tells the hero ''a pacifist won't help us on our journey, we need a reason for her to fight'' 30 seconds later her father died. Again that can't be just a coincidence. She likely communicated to Lucien telling him where the hero of strength is. But failed to capture her because she wasn't alone. Theresa is the embodiment of ''a necessary evil for the greater good''. Killing one to save many is what she is fond of. I see a few people in the comments calling her the ''true villain''. She IS the seer of Albion. The only one in existence. She only does what is best for Albion. She spent 500 years in Samarkand expanding her knowledge. If Scythe is dead then Theresa is probably the most knowledgeable person in Albion. Yes she was the reason why 1,000's died in the construction of the spire but she intended to save millions in the future with her wish. Unless she wasn't going to wish what we think she was going to wish for.
We can’t have Fable without Teresa. If F4 takes place between 1 and 2, she needs to be part of it. If not a guide for the player, directly influencing events, then a recurring character along the story. A seer in a Gypsy camp or something. She just needs to be in it.
One theory I saw that could definitely be possible; what if the new game is sort of a reboot because it's an alternate timeline based on the hero's choices in the first game being the evil choices instead of the good choices? so the hero of Oakville slays his sister obtaining the sword of aeons and then eventually slays Jack of blades and puts on his mask becoming the new vessel for Jack whom would be the main villain in this new game. That would in my opinion be an awesome way to bring back Jack of blades and not need to bring Teresa back.

Theresa isn’t evil or good. Morally she’s gray. She does things for betterment yet it backfires in bad ways. She sacrificed herself in Journey so the world will finally be how she wanted it.
This one gave me goosebumps. It made me see how human Theresa is. In the games, you get this beautiful sense of unnatural aura around her, but you were able to unveil what's under that. Still she uses her will abilities to maintain her body like Palpatine, and that keeps her a bit sketchy in my book. This story is beautiful, im so glad you made this video. Fable keeps on giving has we get older, what a story and what a gift indeed.

I just found this channel today, but I’ve been watching ALL the fable videos. Fable has been a HUGE part of my life since the second one came out in 2008. My dad would take me to a store where people where able to test out the games before purchasing, and every time I came in I would run straight to fable 2. I LOVE this game and I love the videos you’ve made about the lore. Thank you for posting ❤️
This really changed my perception of her. Every bad thing in Fable 2 is her fault, she is why all of the slaves of the Spire died, she is why Rose died, and she manipulated her brothers distant blood relative. being the only family she has left.
I like to believe that her brother decided to kill her in the chamber, not because he hated her, but because he knew she was too broken, not only she had been scared deeply but her foretelling powers would never allow her to fully enjoy her life, that plus the fact he didn't like her neutrality when it came the time for the choice between her or the Sword, he tried to at least get some hint on what she truly wanted, and once he did, he delivered the final blow on her. However, due to her mistical abilities, the Sword traped her soul in it, but when the Hero rejected to wear Jack's mask, the light inside his heart caused some sort of chain reaction that weakened his darkness and allowed her soul to be free once more. After that, because of the fact she was not allowed to move on, she decided to spend the next centuries possessing the body of women just as broken as her and with no chances of recovery, in the hopes of finding some way to finally extinguish the pain that had burned her for so long, and rest in peace, once and for all.

As well as the hero from the first fable is the legendary hero who is a master in Will, Strength, and Skill. He is the penultimate hero as he one shots the guild master who is the strongest Will user in all of Albion besides scythe so that doesn’t hold up

I'll still never consider her as evil. Heck, not even morally grey. Heavy is the head that wears thr crown. She can see the furure. All the future. What she does is to save all hunanity from being wiped out in Fable 3. The tower was a necessary evil. The good of the many, out weight the few. Now spread that across all of time. She isn't evil. She just knows what needs to be done.
So Theresa helped her bloodline, the line of the Archons, take back power to rebuild an advanced civilization. I say the ends justify the means and I hope she returns.
I'd assume that Jack had left at that point and Maze happened to still be in the town. Maze's intention was that the young Hero could save him from Jack's servitude. I do go into it in my Maze lore video. It's someone in the Fable lore playlist. :)

Theresa had her childhood taken away from her but she had a choice to live with her brother again and make a better life but all she wanted was power and manipulation and she probably wanted the world to be hers surprisingly your character from fable 1 died but she didn't even with the power of will its surprising that she lives on except for your character I suspect that she killed the brother for ultimate Will power so she can live so long it only makes sense on where she got that will power I mean she isn't the brightest character in the book except for the warrior of Albion
I think William gave her the secret of his own immortality, and they developed a way to help her live forever without paying the same price. We know William has been keeping an eye on his lineage over the eons. Even Rose says he’s there with her. So I think he’s the secret behind her long life.

One thing I never understood about Theresa was why didn't Jack capture her? Did he just want her to suffer and presumably die in the woods after mutilating her? Wouldn't he want her captive for her blood and prophetic powers?
How i see it is jack wanted the boy not only for his blood but also cause he feared an heir of will could defeat him. Furthermore, after jack let her go he probably placed some tracking spell or what not on her and intended to use her to eventually draw out the boy since he needed the whole family.

She is alive because she is part of the archon bloodline certain members of the bloodline are immortal like theresa and scy the hero is not for obvious reasons but this was explained in the lore
So do you think the youngest son of Hero of Bower Lake had to wear the gauntlets cause he never unlocked the power of the Bloodline so thats why that character is sooo lame in comparison to the first two?

I think the community are pretty split on whether or not they want her to return. It'll be interesting to see who the "guide" figure is.

I really like that comparison. She may be one of the best stories I've seen in the series. Theresa and William Black are my favourites by far.
There’s a theory saying that powerful Will users become immortal. A good example of that is how Garth survived getting shot in the head by Reaver.

I really like that theory. With no confirmation from the creators of what actually happened in the chamber, anything could have happened.

The bigger question if Theresa's the hero of oakvale's older sister, why does he look 50 years older by the time you kill jack.
Well main character doesnt have strong Will like his sister i read somewhere very strong will can make you almost immortal.

Fable journey gives her full story and the end of the hero blood line and passes the being the watcher to Gabriel
I found that part sad but also beautiful. It made me satisfied. I hope that some Heroes are still around but they’re few and far between.

I think that in Fable 2, Theresa killed Hammer's father so that Hammer would help the hero.
The original script for the burning of oakvale where jack was supposed to appear was badass, too bad they didn't have enough time to add it.

One thing I never understood about Theresa was why didn't Jack capture her? Did he just want her to suffer and presumably die in the woods after mutilating her? Wouldn't he want her captive for her blood and prophetic powers?

How i see it is jack wanted the boy not only for his blood but also cause he feared an heir of will could defeat him. Furthermore, after jack let her go he probably placed some tracking spell or what not on her and intended to use her to eventually draw out the boy since he needed the whole family.
@@ansem6167 or he thought he didn’t need here at the time, I believe he didn’t need her he just needed Scarlet Robes blood but why risk it. Most likely though Theresa was going to bleed out and die in the woods.

Has it been explained why theresa is still alive in fable 2 and 3 is she immortal and if she is how he brother wasn't immortal nor any oh his descendents or any other hero except scythe?
Do you want her to be in the fable reboot, do you think they should kill her off but keep her in the lore, keep her alive or remove her completely?
I'm unsure on whether I'd like her to return. I feel like she had served her purpose pretty well.

Okay, but how could she live this long?
When I first played Fable 2, I thought she was dead already, but a spirit, moved by will.
I believe her abilities of Will kept her going. The only other hero known to live this long was Scythe and I think it's a similar thing he has too.
She died in The Journey.
scythe has been alive for flippin ages, and that's in fable 1
i don't know of any indication that he's died by the time of fable 3
She is alive because she is part of the archon bloodline certain members of the bloodline are immortal like theresa and scy the hero is not for obvious reasons but this was explained in the lore
She used her Will power to keep alive. There’s a theory saying powerful users become immortal. Garth is a good example of that to.
Um it takes you a little over 2 years to escape Bargate Prison in Fable not 1 year.
