- kokomi's story quest actually deals with the aftermath of genshin impact's inazuma archon quest and i'm not sure why they didn't just put it in the archon quest itself

Genshin sucks when it comes to main story quests and focuses on minute bureaucratic details rather than where the action is
This is just Jean's story but Kokomi actually does not want to deal with these people lmao

Don't forget the Fertilizer Salesperson quest that unlocks after you do Kokomi's quest. Somehow it feels like Gorou and Thoma for being unreleased have more screentime than the already released characters.

I just wanted to say that in a similar way to Kokomi, I hope you're not burning yourself out on Genshin bwaap. I've been seeing you play other games like Edith Finch and Omori and enjoying other non-Genshin content, so don't worry too much about having to keep up with the game too much. I remember him saying on a stream that he wanted to take break from story quests because the editing burns him out. Nobody would want you to get exhausted bwaap, you can take breaks or do other games because the content do be dry sometimes. we would support you :)
@@ishaanwalia8293 With such a big boom because people were attracted to his Genshin content, I'm not surprised he feels obligated to immediately start these quests but that's when it's not for fun anymore. Before Bwaap at least seemed to do it on his own time, I hope he personally doesn't just see himself as that Genshin youtuber and doesn't want to attempt to branch out.

This story quest of Kokomi should have been the Archon Quest Epilogue.
Pretty much acknowledges the fact the war happened and things can't just become normal in an instant.

Yeah, it should happen before Raiden's, in which everyone acts almost as if nothing had happened
I think one of my favorite things about 2.1 is the contrast between the Raiden Shogun's quest being a more lighthearted story, while Kokomi's quest fully goes into the postwar effects, some of the soldiers having PTSD, and how much of a toll it's taken on Kokomi as a young leader and its effects on her physically/mentally
Ei's was about actually changing her perspective on the nation by the end it gives the region more hope of better future with their God also wanting to work alongside them for her ideal. I think we'll only see more of the post effects with several other character stories like Gorou's when his shows up.
I don't understand why they make archon quest with light hearted theme. I'm expecting angst in Ei quest and brief history of Inazuma, maybe mention Makoto or her friends. 😂😭

@@cestalia It honestly makes sense why Ei's archon quest was lighthearted. She needed some time to think and reflect with her actions for a little while since ya know, since she caused alot of havoc on inazuma and ya dont really wanna be reminded of your traumatizing past immediately when you're trying to think of a way to properly give eternity to inazuma and how to cope properly. I'm sure the 2nd chapter of her archon quest will mention more about her lore instead of a lighthearted date.

Kokomi reminds me of a gifted kid who's suffering from burnout. With all of the stuff she has to deal with, it's no wonder she's tired majority of the time. Speaking of burnout, bwaap, if you want to take a break from Genshin, that's understandable. Yes, people are interested in Genshin. But when you only do things that other people enjoy, it starts to drain your enjoyment. Believe me, I've been there.

Xiangling is a freebie, you get her from Spiral Abyss, and she works well with it. It too is a free weapon, though takes time if you mind-numbingly grind fish to get them.
But if he doesn't use her then there's no point getting it.

If Genshin no longer sparks something inside ya, please feel free to branch out and try other things; heck, feel free to stop YT and just do streams (of other games or other things) for some time. Burning your candle on both ends will just tire you, and it will also reflect on the things you do in the future, TH-cam or elsewhere.
I always appreciated the humor you have infused into these quests, and your playthroughs are one of the things that motivates me to keep playing this game; it would be sad if all that becomes a chore on your end :(

@@1mol831 well true but it seems like the recent event storyline always did something wrong and came off as lazy like kokomi’s quest- not many people are interested in war and peace negotiations and I wasn’t extremely bored because I really loved Kokomi and appreciated her so much and pulled without regret. But Mihoyo did her rlly dirty and her -100 crit rate with only 20% healing bonus was kind of just not right. not that I have any huge issue with it but for others I guess. The 2.1 storyline still wasn’t bad for me but after 2.1 storyline the rest seems lazy. I mean just look at the anniversary of 1 entire year being this low. For people like me, we enjoy the game with or without anniversary reward. But for whales they demand more and let’s not forget they’re the ones keeping the game alive

For Ayaka we literally had to go and meet the people without visions and try to help them for her to consider us her friend.

That's fucked up. They only saw the traveler as a tool to achieve their goal.

So you can actually say she's involved well enough in main story
I think it's safe to say that the Archon quests aren't there to resolve every main conflict that has been established over the main course of the story, and rather how every type of quests (world quests, story quests, events) add their own quirks on the truths of this world, and the current issues present. The Archon quests on their own just set the pacing for the main objective, while every other quests weave everything together for the sake of world building.
However, Act 3, or every act basically, still felt like some parts were skipped to save time, which is why the whole pacing sometimes feels off and why there's this impression that "there are too many random NPCs with way too much screentime". I really hope this will be improved on in the next Archon quests.

Well, her quest ended on a cliffhanger and there's still that dark pool that is the entrance to Enkonomiya so I don't think this is the last we will see of Kokomi.

If I were Kokomi, I'd have lambasted those soldiers hard - the whole point of the war was to get the Shogun to give in, and they did that. Them trying to restart the war - THAT was betraying the sacrifices their comrades had done.
Then I would put on some better pants, because dear god, that lingerie she's wearing is skintight and almost seethrough I can't understand how she can wear that in public.

Insubordination in military during such important moment were could affect the whole country again (more deaths, less supplies for the military and people getting poorer) is enough reason to just give them a death sentence really seeing this is like an ancient japanese era. Of course this is Genshin pg 13+ so just kicking them out would still be an option.
About her outfit, can't do much about it since mihoyo is made by mostly degenerate otakus. I feel uncomfortable with her lingerie too though...

The soldiers logic is basically "If we get peace, then wont all the effort we put into getting peace be wasted"
They don't think it's an actual win worth having if it isn't through forceful conquering to avenge their fallen soldiers. I get their logic but it's thinking with their emotions and feelings over realistic unselfish needs. What's sadder is some people actually think like this from their own time in irl wars.. It's a pity.

Why did Mihoyo dumb down Kokomi in the Archon Quest?
In her story quest, she actually comes up with strategies to best subdue her opponents. In the Archon Quest, she accepts supplies from an unknown source which cripples her already fragile resistance.
Because plot
They needed Kokomi to make mistakes so Traveller can have a quest
I think they changed the story suddenly, some things in the 2.1 trailer wasn't used.
Think about this, the people on Watatsumi Island were struggling and suffering during the Vision Hunt Decree war, their supplies were running low and sooner or later they are gonna start dying if there wasn’t any good solution. If Kokomi had not accepted the supplies, the people of Watatsumi Island and the Resistance would be much weaker, which would have affected them badly more than her not accepting the supplies. There was a chance to help them recover, why would she not take it? She has to help them somehow. I agree that her accepting supplies from an unknown source was kinda a bad move, but she did try her best to think for her people and also confiscated the delusions before the situation worsened. Keep in mind the delusions only came after the supplies was given so Kokomi had no idea of knowing it too (given that she did not recognise the delusion) as she simply saw this as an opportunity for her people and the Resistance to recover.
It's only rumor, takes it with salt.
I heard the writers quit so arc 3 continued with different writer.

I love Teppei, but man, he overshadowed Kokomi and Gorou.
I was so disappointed that this story quest did not focus on Orobashi or more about the dark sea or even the massive portal thingy under Kokomi’s house. 😞

With the 2.1 archon and Raiden story quest turned out, it's like that sign with the anniversary gift.
"My expectations were already low but HOLY F*CK!" Just not with the holy f lol! With how Inazuma turned out, they started strong and just went with "What resistance missions? Let's just put in in a black background explaining things." I'm no longer expecting a decent story and that's much worse because the next nation is my hype one. I really wish they redeem themselves in Sumeru and have an antagonistic archon for once. It should take LONGER before they go dango milk and novels from killing Tomo, having those vision wielders lose their minds, and having your famous boy kneeling like a bitch.
@@dadian803 Why would the god of wisdom be antagonistic? There is no reason for the dendro archon, or in fact, any archon other than the Tsaritsa to prove to be an antagonist.

I love how Kokomi is strong but still have such a sweet voice, even when being serious and powerful, same with sara, both have such amazing voice.

In the lead-in (featured at the start of your video), Gorou was talking about doing a pincer maneuver where one half of the squad keeps the Fatui occupied while the other half burns their ship. After you arrived, you became the distraction and Gorou’s team all went to wreck the ship.
In essence, they weren’t talking about *you* setting anything on fire at all.

I think Genshin is still enjoyable, and Mihoyo has created a great world with likeable characters. That said, while their story telling is full of good ideas, they need to work on their execution and pacing. There needs to be more "show, don't tell", cause yeah, Bwaap sounding a little detached here. Like, that thing with the ship was a good example of room for improvement. Just put in an actual ship for the sake immersion, even if it disappears once the mission is over. I know it's extra work, but it goes a long way.

I'm worried that the fact every ruler so far in Inazuma (Ayaka, Raiden Ei and now Kokomi) are basically just kids in need of babysitting in order in order to function. I don't look down on them for it since they tragically missed out a lot, but it makes me wonder how their nation is still standing.
well raiden shogun had the puppet and she knows what she's doing, ayaka isn't the leader of her clan that's her brother, kokomi is competent just over burdened with the responsablities of leading a village, an army and being a head priestess

It's like Bwaap said when he noticed he missed that viewpoint. It's most likely he's burnt out and/or not playing the game as much to care or notice those details. Especially when talking about military maneuvers and positions.

@@Zak-tk8wv I played the Chinese language when doing this quest, and have heard her Japanese voice (haven't heard Korean yet), and her English voice fits her face the most in my opinion. The squeakiness can be understandably annoying though

I'm not sure, I didn't start even the Delusion Fandango quest but, why do I feel that Kokomi's VA changed? Or maybe just because she's "drained up" in the story so they need to match her voice? Idk just my opinion.
A good chunk of her lines are given in a “morning voice” kind of delivery. She’s half-awake in that scene. Everyone sounds different in that state.
