    The bearings are sealed and there is a tone ring sealing the inside of the hub. The grease would not get to the bearing unless it blew out the tone ring. ABS light would be on.

    There are many different types of hubs. Clearly the one depicted in the video allows access via the sensor port; hence why that hub can accept more grease. Many modern hubs are factory preassembled (pressed) and have the electronics built in with only a couple of wires routed out to a connector. Without access to the sensor port, one would need to hack into part of unit; potentially causing more harm than good. As an alternative, if you’re skilled at metal work, one might try tapping it for a grease fitting; not sure how that would work.

    Most bearings can't be greased like this, they're sealed, also this guy doesn't know how to load a grease gun.

      Yes, he should have slid the entire cartridge in there! He wouldn't have "wasted" anything as he said he would. It will be there for you next job!

      Hmmm.. I'm thinking that, or he didn't have anything else to use the grease on and didn't want a fully primed grease gun leaking oil and making a mess over time

    I think this should work and will try on my van before replacing the hub. Anyone tried before? The abs sensor reads the rotation base from the 3 square holes. I have a new hub for my Murano and see some grease there. Will see

    And that's how you fuck up an abs sensor.. 😄😄😄. From my knowledge these bearings are sealed, a magnetic seal for abs sensor to read, that grease you poured in the abs sensor hole wont do shit to the bearing it self, it will just fuck the sensor up, thats all.

      Clearly your knowledge doesn't include tearing one apart and seeing how its put together. Its just a hall affect sensor and a tone ring. People remove those to replace them everyday.

    if you do this make sure no to use too much grease in the wheel hub or the sensor wheel loose signal and you wheel get abs & traction lights on causing the car to brake on its own

    if your grease tube has a hole at both ends you insert the grease tube into the grease and not squeeze grease into the gun..

    Don’t use this method. Bearing grease needs to be packed! And another thing is. Using the wheel speed sensor port will only cause ads issues!

    On the one hand this is really smart. On the other hand my guy doesn’t know how to load a grease gun. Furthermore that grease gun is BRAND SPANKING NEW… I don’t trust new tools 🤣

    I used the wrong grease (moly)when pressing wheel bearing, thinking of buying a grease injector needle and slipping it between the hub and knuckle to inject it over where the hub turns and give it some turns. Any opinions? I can't disassemble it again at the moment so I wanted to try to "flush" the grease

    I guess you haven't realized, but the hole you're putting grease into is for the abs sensor, not the bearing.

      It has tapered roller bearings, and there is a direct path from the sensor into the bearings. This easily works. Might want to tear one apart and look before running your mouth (keyboard).

      @@CoberRuger You have covered the ABS tone ring with grease and will probably cause ABS errors AND not lubricate anything. It is most likely not advisable to do this. The actual wheel bearings are sealed off inside the hub assembly. You can probably lubricate the front inside of the wheel hub by taking it off the spindle and lube the spindle and needle bearings that you see nearest the hub, but not sure what benefit that will give you.
