Who would you like to see as BYU's next head coach?

As you said, "Burgess is not ... a BYU guy". He has ZERO loyalty to BYU and has spurned them twice before. A Burgess hire just provides him HC experience while waiting to take over his dream job...Utah. Get Cummard, Robinson, Lewis, Peery etc...

If he's the best option now, I wouldn't let that be a deterrent. A-Rod isn't a BYU guy. Heck, neither was Pope and he left for his dream job, but I'm glad we had him.

@@saturdayswarriorbyu Sorry my bad. Actually, Burgess spurned BYU three times, one coming out of high school, once after he left Duke, and once as a coach. If he wanted the BYU head coaching position he should have stayed on Pope's staff...
As for ARod, he played wide receiver at BYU ... I consider him true blue, like Kalani, despite where his coaching career may have taken him.
Yes, Pope was great while he lasted...but he always had his sights set beyond BYU, so I wish him well.

I just wouldn't limit ourselves to only BYU guys. Programs have hurt themselves doing that. Even if it means he's not a lifer, we need to get the best guy for the job.
