The new digital single SERIES ‘O’ [ROUND 0 : WHO] acts as a prequel to the previous releases of the SERIES ‘O’ album series and delves into a story about the void and emptiness of heart filled by a seed of darkness, through a group of boys hurt and abandoned by society or their own family during a time of instability.
7 boys who believe themselves to be complete. But they have yet to mature, imperfect in their emptiness and inner demons that they harbor. Can they ever find an answer to achieving perfection?
‘imperfect’ in Their Inner Incompleteness
The accompanying music video portrays a group of boys who believe themselves to be perfect, and a delicate elegance found underneath their unstable states. From the mysterious black hole, the crux of the worldbuilding in the SERIES ‘O’ album series, to the curious time of 3:47, supernatural phenomena draw the boys living in this reality into another world. The cinematography also highlights each member and his ability to shine like the various colors of a rainbow as pieces of a whole, creating a film-like masterpiece.

Oh man I just love the irony. It's an O because they form a WHOLE circle, but it leaves a HOLE of void in the middle. VERIVERY has actually a very intriguing and deep story line. I wish I knew more about it. I just love it when groups have songs that are not the typical love ones. I wish more people would recogize the potential this group has. They have done such different types of concepts and have killed it always.
Hoyoung center is something I love to see. I can't wait to see the dande practice. VERIVERY is well known for their synchronization, and it is indeed mindblowing. Also, Yongseung is a freaking it boy. I don't know why there are not that many people recognizing how amazing he looks.

i saw some verivery stans in the LOONA performance video on queendom so i wanted to say thank you, also i really liked the song. It's the perfect song to have when you're on the bus watching the window.
I knew them since their debut and support them when they joined Road to Kingdom but I'm so happy to see them grown up well like their concept are different than their old song. This is my 1st time to watch their MV and really looking forward for Verivery to get more achievement this year ^^

VERIVERY are becoming chameleon-like in their embrace of various genres. They’re at their best when fully committed to a sound, and they perform ‘O’ very well. Their vocals haven’t always been put front and center in previous title tracks, and I appreciate their added prominence here. ‘O’ opens with searing guitar before settling into a midtempo groove. The production is quite atmosphere. It’s not trying to do too much, but its core ingredients are compelling enough to maintain interest.

this song is such a sad bop. I don't know if I'm gonna be happy or depressed whenever I listen to this.
In terms of anxiety and depression, in many ways it does feel like an endless black hole that you can't escape from. You don't always exactly know how or why certain feelings consume you but you just hope that eventually the metaphorical "rain" will stop. You want to get better, but it's not something you can snap out of. When you're an idol, you are almost always showing people the best sides of you. However when they go through hard times they don't want people to see that side of them because perhaps they don't want to let people down or burden others with their struggles(which is human), because their job pressures them to project an image of perfection. The pressure of having to upkeep that image may cause those negative feelings to worsen and that "O" gets bigger. Idk how he was able to recover but I'd like to hope that part of the reason Minchan was able to get better was because of the love and support from his family and members, but when you don't have a support system it's harder to get out from under that dark cloud. I don't know what I was really tryna say lol but I really commend VeriVery for putting out such a risky but profound song about a topic many can relate to. Not only can it help others who suffer, but it speaks volumes about the guys as people and the kind of messages they deem important enough to sing about. You can tell this song was made with care. Great listen!

I don't know who needs to hear this. But I really really really like this video. It's so impactful that it pulls me back to this song again and again. I didn't expect that when I first time clicked play of the song. The song is great obviously, but what the MV tries to say, together with the lyrics, is purely amazing and pulling my heart. The song and the MV actually gave me two different feelings and stories, but both have been lingering in my mind. Even though I knew this group before this, O is the introductory song that got me dive into their discography. Great job!

can someone explain the hidden story line to me? i didn't catch it
@@turt8560 I can't give the full story line, but I can point out a few things:
1. Kangmin's birthday. This is his first comeback as an adult, and the video references it twice. You see him blowing out a candle in a cupcake (0:36) and being carded at the entrance to what looks like a club (2:11).
2. Minchan's anxiety. The song itself is about being in a dark space and being unsure of oneself, which I think relates directly to this. In the video you can see him curled up in a bathroom stall in multiple scenes, and he seems to be struggling through something. There is also a scene where Gyeheon knocks a bottle of pills from his hands (2:17).
3. The rain. I think it's representing a sort of catharsis. Throughout the video, various members exhibit signs of mental health issues. They struggle, receive temporary relief through their interactions with one another, then struggle again. Once it starts to rain at the very end, we see a true, genuine release.
4. The chalk outline. In the beginning of the video, Dongheon is lying in a chalk outline with the members circling around him like vultures. This could have a few different meanings, but they likely center around waiting for a person to die, fall from grace, and/or be consumed.
5. The phone. The phone seems to be an anchor for all the tension and anxiety in the video. Every time it appears, the member holding it experiences a bout of anger or depression. I don't know for sure what it symbolizes because I can't read the Korean at 2:02. I don't know who's calling. I think it's interesting that Minchan is only ever seen taking it away from someone else.
That's all I have for now. I really want someone to do a thorough analysis of this video though. There are so many details I can pick out, but can't assign a meaning to yet.
