The fact that they decided to skip her wedding just to go to her sister's son's birthday party is a disgrace! They shouldn't not be in her life at all if they just want to be toxic!
NTA OP, they made their decision, and you made yours. Consequences aren't cruel, there just truth and action. OP took the high road and went beyond whatever the parents couldn't do for her.
what a heartfelt video, thanks for sharing your story. I can totally understand your feelings, but it does seem a bit extreme to cut ties completely. I mean, family dynamics are complicated, and there might be room for forgiveness and understanding, even if it hurts. Just a thought!
great video, really interesting perspective on family dynamics. though, i have to say, i kinda think cutting ties might be a bit extreme? i get it’s hurtful, but maybe there's a way to address the issue without going that far. what do you all think?
really enjoyed this video, the storytelling was super engaging. but honestly, i think cutting ties with your family over this situation might be a bit extreme. family dynamics can be complicated, and sometimes people make mistakes without meaning to. maybe having a conversation could’ve been a better approach?
this video was really well done, and i appreciate the honesty in sharing such a tough situation. but honestly, i think cutting ties might be too extreme. i get that the skipped graduation felt hurtful, but family dynamics can be complicated, and there might be a way to address it without completely shutting people out. what do you guys think?
One graduation skipped is troubling but possibly fixable. My own graduation class was too big for us to invite all our families and my parents were running the senior after party so they had to leave after I got my diploma (which still was about an hour as the middle student). Both graduations is justification enough. But SKIPPING A WEDDING FOR A CHILD'S FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY, one that was clearly planned after the wedding date was picked is more alarming if you DON'T cut ties.

The "motorcycle" was a bicycle when this was originally made.
How dare OP's sister purposley interrupted Op announcing her big achievement.
That deliberate interruption was defo 100% planned!!
Think i got diabetes from watching this video...
NTA. Your parents are AHs, and so is the legal system.
Sibling fairness laws: *what's the freaking holdup?!*
That's a thing?
@@nick-brothwood Not yet, but it should always have been. Favoritism is abuse, plain and simple, and we are overdue for a world without it.
No thanks i don't want the government being able to arrest people for "wrong think"
Do you want some cake with your icing?
Another story of children raising a child.

lel, another recycled ai story.at first it was a bicycle and all now the OP got her motorbike stolen

They ignored her for eighteen years or underplayed her emotions. This isn’t a one time thing, it’s a culmination of a decade or so of neglect.

I disagree. Cutting ties with a "family" like that is just protecting yourself. Her blood family is NOT her family at all.

I mean it’s a build up to literally being an afterthought for almost twenty years at least.
Stop whining and move on
