Waraqa Ibn Nawfal (my humble attempt to write summary)
Waraqa and Zaid ibn umr went to sham and studied Christianity and were curious about the religion of Ibrahim
But Zaid died 5 years before the arrival of Prophet (pbuh)
Now it's only Waraqa waiting for the arrival of Prophet pbuh in Makkah
. Relation to Khadeeja (r)
(His cousin but more like an uncle due to age gap)
His name is Waraka Ibn Nawfil Ibn Asad
And Khadeeja(r) has Uncle named Nawfil Ibn Asad so waraqa was his first cousin (nawfil was also the name of Khadeeja's(r) brother)
Kadeeja's(r) father name-> Khawaylid
His father's elder brother name-> Nawfil
So age gap between waraka and khadeeja(r) was atleast 25 to 30 years
Waraka is the noble of the noble family
Waraka was expected of to marry Khadeeja(r) (due to his nobility, character manners)
But waraka rejected this world became priest ,ate little, clothed simply
Was known as a person of knowledge really didn't combat against people who used to worship idols , And people also went to him for dream interpretation
A dream of Khadeeja R.A that he had as a young woman that a Sun descended in her home and Waraqa interpret her dream that you might marry a noble man or a prophet
Prophet went to As sham 2 times
1 with Abu talib (Went back on half way on the advice of monk)
2nd when Khadija sent him as broker with Maysara
(2 diff monks met him on his way to as shams 2 diff times and recognised him as prophet)
The marriage of Prophet pbuh and Khadeeja R.A was done in presence of Waraqa
Waraqa went blind towards end of his life in his nineties and this when the famous incidence took place when Khadeeja took prophet pbuh to waraqa and prophet(s) told Waraqa what happened with prophet pbuh in Hira
He said this is the same namus( bearer of secrets referring to jibraeel A.S) that was sent to Musa (A.S)
And He(waraqal said that you are the prophet and immediately said after that I wish I could be with you when your people run you out! And it's nothing personal it's about the substance that you have ya Muhammad!
And he said if I live to see that day I will support you with everything I have, with all of my strength
So he confirmed prophethood of Prophet (s) and also asked Allah to give him strength to fight for prophet (s) but he didn't live long
There is a difference of opinions among sahabas whether he would be one of Sahaba or mumin or musaddiq
The last one of the follower of Christianity was the first one to confirm prophet hood of prophet (s)

When it is mentioned about the 2 levels of Jannah for Waraqah that made me think of Surah 28 ayat 52-54 - "These ˹believers˺ will be given a double reward for their perseverance, responding to evil with good, and for donating from what We have provided for them."(28:54)

@@orizurusc2784 sex isn't seen as bad in islam, also jannah isn't nothing like this earth so the concept of sex may be completely different to what we know.
@@ihsanmahmood8789 there's nothing bad about sex. in fact it's what makes the world go round. sex in jannah is far better than any imagination, with 72 or 7200 "custom made" sex partners with every orgasm lasts for 70 years, and can do it as you pleased, without any agreement of mut'ah. even wine is seen different in jannah as it flow like a river. almost all that is haram in the world are halal in jannah....maybe even pork.
only unlimitedly unlimited and unhealthy lustful lust gives that idea of jannah... allah knows best.

Please please please, someone from your team needs to organize and rearrange the content on this channel and your website... I love learning from Dr. Omar Suleiman but its hard to find a starting point on your site playlists. It seems the playlists start from the last video however when you scroll down to the bottom to find the first of any series, it jumbles up the playlist and its tough to keep track and stay in order. Thank you for all that you guys do. You have played a huge role in my education and I am beyond grateful for your work!

Hi, Thank you for this series, enjoyed so much. There are something i would like to say how much i loved this part that, first of all, prophet has been told to come to Sam which is current syria, but the place you told is not a place in syria. Maybe it is called in this way because the main route of their journey is Syria but the place told is Bursa, in present Turkey. The talk between Abi talib and bishop appears to take place in Bursa, a city just next to constantinople (istanbul) in byzantine empire. So in this talk you say this talk between abi talib and bahira take place in syria though actually not.
Last but not least for this case, as a person who know bursa, I was told that there is a cave over there in which the path trace of prophet exist inside, it is correct or not. I had been asking myself how possible that prophet could have come here, but now I learn that that talk between ebi talib and bahira took place around that area.
Also, it is worth mentioning that Bursa is the first capital of ottoman empire and stayed as the most influential city other than constantinople during ottoman period. The first sixths of sultans of ottoman empire is buried in Bursa. The cave in bursa that i am told the path trace of prophet exist is a little outside the city center, around 15 kms aways. Most worth mentioning is the fact that there exist a big mountain in bursa called Mount Olympos (Uludag) in which christian priests had been living in that period.

Waraqa Ibn Nawfal were the followers of Arius heresy who made a scene before the Council of Nicea 352 and his followers throughout Arabia from the 4th century to the 6th century.
All the signs you mention, confirms that The Prophet was born as the Last Prophet. (SAW). He didn't need the assurance of Waraq to confirm...

I have to say, I'm a bit surprised that Sheikh Omar mentioned the story at around 14:30 about the prophet going with his uncle to the marketplace and the monk telling them to go back, because our scholars have said that this story has major flaws, makes no sense and is most likely a fabrication. Same with clouds following him and stones and trees prostrsting to him. All very weak narrations. I'm just narrating what other scholars have said. Sh. Yasir Qadhi talked about this in detail in his complete Seerah course. Wallahu a3lam.

Waraka and Zaid, they get two levels in janah . Then they asked why two janah . Cz they repent and make tawbar , for the giveness of sins . That's why they get the two levels in janah , the highest place of paradise. Ameen ❤
