“I am here” is such a great episode title. Not only is it a classic line that has so much meaning with All Might, but it can also apply to everyone in the episode! Iida coming in clutch and fully living up to his hero name, Shoto coming to save the day, Rei refusing to turn away from her son, Endeavor fully opening his eyes to how evil he was and excepting to die with his son lovingly, and most tragic of all Toya finally feeling true recognition from his family and not feeling like an invisible failure. Horikoshi has always been good with episode/chapter titles but this one really stands out
@@TheReactPack My theory is that endeavor is going to sacrifice being the number one hero and take the blame for all the killings and chaos his son Dabi did therefore endeavor will go to jail! While Dabi will be free or in the hospital if he doesn’t die My second theory is that Stain is going to fight with All might to stop all for one and I think that’s how Stain is going to die all for one is going to kill Stain sadly😔
@@alanlussiano4097To be honest, I don't get why people like that so much lol. Deku vs. Muscular was a better episode all around to me. For best episode of the season, it's probably this one. Light Fades to Rain is second best, although I really liked the last five minutes or so.
I actually started shedding tears the moment Death Arms said "My body's moving on it's own, too" then callback after callback especially Deku asking All Might if he can be a hero quirkless 😖😖And then the Todoroki Family Arc broke the whole dam!! 😭😭 ugh this show
great little detail, early in the series Dabi mentioned he burned away his tear ducts and literally could not cry anymore. yet here, you get freezing tears at the end of it all
What I love about MHA is that several members of Class 1-A have solid enough designs and backstory to be their own protagonists. Not all of them, mind you, but a lot of them. The big three for sure. But also Tokoyami, Kirishima, and even outside of 1-A, there's Mirio, Mirko, etc.
The Todoroki clan once again continues being one of the best and emotional elements of the series, folks weren’t lying when they said this is arguably one the best episodes of the series. So many powerful emotional beats, I agree with Sam, the Todorokis should be the main characters 😅😅.
All might really came a long way, from being scared to face the sludge thug, (half)quirkless, to facing the probably most ruthless and dangerous form AFO ever had, without a quirk entirely. Im really scared for him though, I hope stain helping him against AFO that would be extremely epic.
Yeah, this is the hardest I’ve cried in a while. Beforehand, Shoto was called the “hero of the family,” and after this, yeah, he absolutely is. Not that he wasn’t before. And honestly, for as horrific of a person as Touya has become, I think it’s only right for him to be saved by the family and make sure he doesn’t game end himself. It was great timing too since Endeavor had just given up on Touya again. The emotions were complicated as heck this time around, but I’m hoping that Touya can finally find some level of peace. And that’s not even touching on All Might and Death Arms…
I literally started crying my eyes out after seeing rei’s face to Toya about to die a second time that hurts so much what Toya said at the end. “Me too…” ☹️😭🥺💔
For me the most impacting thing was the fact that Toya's mother quirk manifested to try to cool down his heart since the technique his "copied" from Shoto uses his heart as a core. For me it was like his mom's quirk was trying to save him from killing himself, which is just beautiful to me
In reality it was for Endeavor growth arc, is not like he could have been the perfect son, because that quirk would only appear being close to death(not exactly as a awakening, but same principle) and his body was still weak from the beginning. What means is like "Look Endeavor, everything that happened because you wanted to achieve your goal neglecting other things, ended up on a son who got the ice, but at the cost of almost his life" it was like a metaphor, that's why at that moment Endeavor said something about responsibility
Thanks for the Hurricane Relief. I live south of Tallahassee not far from where the hurricane made landfall. The communities around here can use all the help people can provide.
One thing I never noticed my first time seeing this was the shot of Young Shoto at 14:13 was that he didn't have a scar. I really like that touch but I am not fully sure why. Since Toya burnt his whole body maybe it just means he never saw really Shoto's scar as very notable or more along the lines of how he was envisioning himself with his family pre-catastrophic burns. I like to think that it is showing the image of Shoto with no scar and mid conflict, in the context of Toya speaking about confronting them sooner, as what it would have been like had he addressed his issues with everyone around him as opposed to burning at Sokoto peak and never showing himself to his family. Now I don't really know the ages well, but I think that based on the flashbacks by the time Shoto had awakened Half Hot, Half Cold, Toya had already been out of the picture which changed a lot of things. Endeavor's outlook on his goals had become much more harsh as he could see how it could drive people up the wall, but for him to ignore his 4th child finally awakening a quirk that could do what he married Rei for was probably out of the question. Especially taking into account that Toya "died" because he couldn't just forget the pressure and attention of inheriting someone's ambition. What sucks the most is that Toya DID in fact awaken what Endeavor wanted, and probably even more ideal that how Shoto did, since Shoto used his fire to boost his FREEZING capabilities compared to Toya which used his ice to keep himself from OVERHEATING. In this case overheating is a huge understatement since in Endeavor's mind it would cool you down to let you not have to rest, but in Toya's case it was quite literally regulating a nuke. The issue here is it took Toya killing himself to awaken this aspect of his quirk. Seeing this and imagining a blue flower blooming while saying that it's, "all my responsibility" is so powerful in this context.
16:18 Lol . I always said , todoroki family's story is more entertaining than the main plotline , but recently with this war , the main story has finally caught up to it as well .
So many emotional episodes as of late, this is easily the show’s strongest element. I’ve gotten emotional at just this season more than so many other shows combined lol
I dont normally tear up for shows/movies but this one hit different man. Also nice little detail to make this hit harder for anyone who may not remember: Toya said that its impossible for him to cry because he burned his tear ducts.
You know I heard this story of a guy who attempted suicide and this episode really resonates with his story. 40 feet from the ground you decide that you don’t want to die anymore and think about the relationships you have. Toya had that moment here and the people he loved at one point stopped him and gave him an opportunity to tell his truth
Everytime the Todoroki family is an episode's focus I can't help but wonder why they weren't the main characters lol. They are to me! This episode was heartbreaking.
because they would become less interesting if they get more screen time than they have. that's usually the real reason why side characters are more interesting than main ones
BRO i cried. when said "MOM" brooooo and the family was telling him "tell us how much you hate us" Saying they are willing to put up with him, as long as he doesnt die 😭
It's by far the best reaction I've seen for this episode, just like you I felt a strong emotion. The Todoroki family is for me the best written story in this manga.
Beautiful episode, everyone knew this plot had to end something like this. But idk if anyone was prepared to witness what just happened... lol. BUT... There's no need to worry, why? BECAUSE I AM HERE!! I cannot wait to see what is in store for the next few eps!!
I was so waiting for the ladies to see this episode just because of the budget if not the emotions in this episode Allmight lets iida "run to save people" and lets shoto be the "peace bringing hero" they both wanted to be
Ever since Dabi officially revealed himself as Toya, I've been so much more invested in the Todoroki family drama than Deku/Bakugos story. So glad the animation did this part justice .
