Ah it keeps it competitive and little change is good! I kinda think it’s cool they cleared up some grey areas! Thanks so much Tim love how you explain things!! I know I just got into the competition this year but why I was holding off building class 1 money always hold up so I get my class 2;3 set and ready I’m so pumped !! 😊i thinking running 3bros servo and motor!! Be my first real high high end build ! Loving it! Best hobby in the world we have and the community wow amazing!
Building my 1st Competition class 2 and C;ass 3 rigs for Rocky Mountain Regional . Being a noob the rule changes aren't a stressful, and it's nice that I am coming in at this rules update, it's really going to help with everyone talking about it.
Good video, I've only done the sorrca thing once with last year's rule set and I was really unsure of what to make of these new rules just simply because reading rules on my own is honestly complete jibberish to me haha. This was exactly what I needed to see.
So I'm going to announce I'm having a private SORRCA event on my property. I'll use what ever rules I want. I'm being a sarcastic ass. I don't compete.
I like the TTC rules. We make our rules based on C channels but no dig, rear steer, winches or any tires over 4.8. Accessories are usually broken or lost anyway but okay if you want, 😅😅😅
Never been a sorcca guy anyways so it doesn’t matter to me. I like to crawl with my trucks not play Barbie for points. These rules are way too involved for people getting into the hobby and will scare many away imo.
If your just getting into the hobby you wont know a thing about SORCCA at all. SORCCA is for people that have been in the hobby a long time and like to build custom rigs.
@@WickedRC Its very few. If you think people are going to get ran off by the new rules. Then they have never had the gumption to make a SORRCA rig in the first place. There was only just over a hundred people competing at SORRCA nationals this year in all the classes. Its way less than you think. I mean your not into it obviously.
@@shaynejenkins446 I just think the rules in general will scare many away. That is my opinion. I’m into cheater rigs, I’m building a hilow on Capra axles, my truck doesn’t fit into any of the classes so sorcca isn’t my thing.
@@WickedRC sounds like class 3 to me. I have a few cheater rigs that can be used in class 3 maybe class 2, one of them on Capra axles. The rules have just gotten more lenient over time. SORRCA ten years ago was for straight up enthusiasts. But still you cant just go buy a RTR and think your gonna compete in SORRCA.
I like the minimum, put a difference between 2 & 3. Other than cut & shit tires there are a couple Pitbull tires or honestly the Traxxas 2.2 canyon trails
The rules matter. And the more personality’s that get involved the more rules are needed.
Rules changes were definitely needed. Thanks for sharing
One of the few channels I dont have to listen to @2speed. Getting to the point is a skill. Thank you.

Thanks for the video and clearing some stuff up Tim.

This is why I don’t attend sorrca events lol. Kinda rediculous to have this many rules for running toy trucks 🤷♂️
I was hoping that class 1 would go more towards scale and put hyrax tires on the ban list for at least class 1.
great video and information
Rule number one… Stand directly over your crawler as it traverses the course. LOL
Class 2 reads that holes in the bed don't allow the bed to be a drop bed. Could I cover the holes for the shock hoops with something like Class 1?
That is a question several of us asked and waiting for clarification. I’ll cove that in a point video

@@shaynejenkins446 that’s just not true at all. Do you know how many people get into the crawling hobby and want to comp there trucks? Lol

My biggest problem is the tire minimum on c3. Only have 1.9 tires run 4.75 on my c2 and c3.do u have any suggestions on smaller 2.2 tires
I like the minimum, put a difference between 2 & 3. Other than cut & shit tires there are a couple Pitbull tires or honestly the Traxxas 2.2 canyon trails
Pitbull Berserkers, Proline TSLs (non XL), Voodoo KLR in 2.2 are all around 5.5" tall.
The new pro line 1.9 tires are going to be 4.86tall I think I might try that out when that are available
Is there a wheel size limit for class 2. Can’t find it in the rules
Yea 2.2 for all classes
@@TRDAdventures thank you.
That shirt is Legit. Where did you buy it from?
Really liking the videos btw.
where can i find that shirt? i need that in my life
Sidemind creations did them when the rules dropped
So could you technically run a trail series atl v2 in carbon
Yea that has a flat skid correct
I am new to the hobby, but these rules are way too extreme...this is the way to go to get less new competitors...
How do I get a copy without Facebook. That platform is horrible.
Google drive links should be in the description
