Great video, my reading comprehension is horrible so I generally stay away from any sorrca stuff due to not being able to make heads or tails of what the rules are looking at them on paper lol. Actually starting my first c1 build this weekend and I'm sure I'll be revisiting this video a few times.

Does no selectable overdrive mean you need a 1:1 drive ratio?
Or is it the selectable part that they dont allow?

It’s the selective part, like the Vfd twin has or the new scx pro. They have to locked in position

You must’ve got those Shift wheels early on I’ve been trying to get a set for months but they’ve been out of stock. Spoke to them & they couldn’t get the materials to make them but now have it so the wheels should be coming back soon. Hopefully

please correct me if i'm wrong:
i can trim/cut the body to make huge rear whell wells of a Tamiya Hilux so i can run a 12.3" wheelbase, all i have to do is make sure, the axle is centered in the now huge wheel wells?
That’s the part where it gets iffy. I’ve been waiting for anyone to post something like that or ask on the SORRCA page, and haven’t seen anything yet.

If I understand correctly, I can not run a Vanquish Phoenix due to the fact that the stock bumpers do not meet the width requirements. It would require that I utilize some sort of different solution; a tube bumper such as what you displayed or an aftermarket bumper that would meet the size requirements for both height and width. Yes? Thanks in advance.
Bumpers for sure would be needed, you wouldn’t be allowed to use the dig or overdrive shifting. And maybe something with the bed cage area.

What body is that looks pretty good.
I couldn't find it but are cantilever allowed on a class 1? Also is a cut honcho bumper allowed for class1? Also my Chevy body has a grill that bulges out more then the body and I'm trying to figure out if that counts as the edge of the body and where my tires can come up to?
Yea cantilever is allowed. I don’t think you can get the honcho bumper to fit the bumper requirement on width below tires. On bodies I generally go with headlight location or if the front curves I use the back of the curve
I don’t think you will have any trouble with the Tamiya f350 because it’s the way it’s designed if that’s the case might as well have a box for a body lol

It will be loaded in the mornin. And yea it will depend on your track width for that body.
I’m trying to decide on a c1 chassis because I took my vs410 c1 out and it didn’t proform the best so now I’m looking to build a flat rail c1 and use a fmm and t case but can’t decide on the Chassis, what c1 chassis do you like
CCW razors edge, brazin c1 pro, exo Everest c1

Daily driver whatever bumper in front of the wheels and daily driver whatever bumper behind the wheels the daily driver would be like a regular car the way you were describing it the way it sounds as long as it looks like a regular car or truck that Isn't hacked up
Like a weekend off road rig is still your daily driver

@@Organized-_-Chaos for you overall body that is fair to say as long as it’s mounted properly and passed all the other measurements
@@TRDAdventures Class 1 does not look like a daily driver anymore though because of the tire stickout, looks more like a monster truck configuration. Narrow axles plus wide tires and the body looks like a cardboard cutout.

I honestly stopped watching once it said a jeep hardbody doesn't count as a hardbody in class one.. sorry but jeeps are one of the biggest players in the offroad world these rules are just kinda stupid..
There are plenty of jeep build used in class 1 still
