Man! I would've committed a violent crime to get ahold of a magnificently detailed kit such as this, back in '84-'85 when I was 15-16! I remember building the rather sparsely- detailed ERTL-ESCI MiG-23MF Flogger 'B' in 1/48 scale at the time, which had highly inaccurate renderings of the AA-7, (R-23) and AA-8, (R-60) air-to-air missiles. But it was still the best and largest-scale kit of this fighter that was available back then. I did the best I could at adding some detail to the cockpit and landing gear wells, and making new missiles out of brass rod, wire, and sheet styrene. That was no small task, considering the tiny amount of close-up photos existing of this punchy Soviet bird in those days.
I'm waitig for the trumpeter 1:1 version of this kit. I'm looking for the UB version and a flight istructor so I can get a Mig-23 type rating. Anyone know if JP-4 will dissolve the plastic?
Im curious if anyone has built one of theses 1/32 trumpeter Mig 23 kits how is the landing gear I have built one of the 1/48 versions and the gear was pathetic to say the least weak warped and no matter what I tried the plane would lean on its right side. next time I will use with metal gear if available.
Hi, yep I had exactly the same problems with my 1 48th Flogger and had to resort to an aftermarket 'White Metal' replacement. put me off the 1 32nd kit.
WoW this is incredible!! over 700 parts, every little detail recreated. I can't believe the quality that we are being spoilt with these days.

That kit is no joke! I seen'dit too!! :-)
There s little mistake on the box-drawing. The MLD version have a crack (a tooth) on the wing-root section. I hope the pastic kit has it.
