@@LumeShot great video! 1) is there a video on your page about how to also put the hour+min+sec+dial hands all back on the watch safely? 2) if I have the sapphire blue glare-proof coating on the face of the watch but I have to remove the hands for cleaning or replacing it will that blue sapphire glare proof coating be effected by disassembling the watch at all at anytime??
On my quartz watch the minute hand is slightly off, i.e. when the minute hand is pointed at "12" the hour hand is not exactly pointed at the hour. Can I simply nudge it to the correct position without removing the hands? Thanks for your advice on this.
My question as well. I failed to adequately attach a minute hand. Thought it was on OK, was not. It flops around, while the seconds hand is still secure. What I'd like to avoid is removing the hour hand but avoiding that may not be worth the effort.
Hi: Any idea on how to remove the hands of a Westclox Big Ben that has the hands really rusted on the shaft, they just wont come off and if I pull too much I think they will break. I dont have the hands remover tool so is any way of doing it that you would recommend? Thanks
Bro I have my watch Tag heuer formula 1 chrono and the secod hand is like half second off, it does not reset to zero using the setting procedure from the manual. Can I just push the seconds hand a little bit to the right to align it?
@LumeShot i don't know if this was a hacking movement but you don't show the part where u stop the movment, i'm watching this becaus the SEIKO SKX HACKING + HAND WINDING MOD TUTORIAL - MOVEMENT UPGRADE video is missing that part too. There it was not a hacking movement, i can see the second moving and in the next shot u just remove the hands without adressing that part. You should show how to either stop it or tell us that u waited for the spring to run out. Other than that - great video. Thx and cheers from Germany. Upd: just found the comment below. Maybe you could edit the video and show a text or add it to the description. If one has to take a break for hours to wait for the spring to run out it's worthy of a short comment or mention.
question: How did you keep the hands from moving. did you wait for it to wind down or is there a stop button in the assy ? I understand if you try to remove or install hands while the watch is "working" you will strip the holes out of the hands.
You can either wait for the mainspring to wind down ( for non hacking movements ) but for movements with hacking seconds, you can stop the seconds hand by pulling out the crown prior to setting the hand.
If you look at the dial, you can see there is a piece of plastic that I cut into a small piece. I never remove hands without using protection for the dial
You will still need a tool to do the job. Of course, you can use your hands but then the risk of damage would be immense. The job would be to remove the hands... which requires a tool and knowledge of how to use it.
Simply put. The close up video is easy to see and understand. Professionally done, thank you.
Thanks! Glad it was helpful.

How were you able to stop the movement before removing the hands? The camera cuts and the second hand stops moving.
I think he waited for the power reserve to run out
I dont know what he did but you can re-insert the crown and hack the movement(if the movement has hacking ofc)
Great video! Did something happen to the Seiko brand on the dial? The E looks bent at the end of the video
It’s his test fit movement. It’s probably been bumped around a fair bit.
Very clear and direct tutorial video. And it’s nice of you to throw in a great magic with the movement change : )
I highly recommend those who buy this tool to polish the tool feet to remove any burs that will scratch the dial. Mine was pretty burly. lol
Good information. Thank you.
Use the Burgeon protector or plastic, as instructed and your advice is moot.
do i need to wait for the hands to stop working before performing?
excellent demonstration. great work
Great shot , video very clear and that zoom is incredible. 👍 thanks, i am searching on how to remove hand for my watch.

What a great set of tutorials! Thank you!
Air I just wanted to change the second hand is it possible to just take that one hand off. Cheers. Alan

Yes, you can, check this video th-cam.com/video/VlzSrMe4HjQ/w-d-xo.html it describe how to do it.

How did you stop the watch?
Hey brother, good video! I was wondering, does this tool also work for the subdial's hands?
Does anyone know where I can get custom wrist watch hands made?
Can name the equipment ?
Awesome video !
Thanks!
is it possible to remove only the seconds hand or do you have to remove all 3 at the same time?
What about putting them back on?
Will be doing another video segment on hand installation. Thanks for watching.
So how do you get the hands back on?
I have an installation tutorial video as well.
Wow, that's clever! You can transform an SKX007 into an SNK805 in an instant!
hey man love the videos, I would really like to see you modify a Casio Duro though just for a change of pace since Seiko has gotten so expensive now.
Is this harder to do on a skeleton watch?

great video thank you.
Why the jump from the 007 to the 809?
How can i get the swatch out of MY Hand?

Btw thats not hand lever, thats for caseback remover. Hand lever abit thinner n smaller got 1mm, 4 mm
Bergeon selling you a piece of paper cut to shape. lol
for the love of god remeber what time you left it at so the date and day function even remotely work
Last equipment is nail cutter
This will make me sling my watch into the wall. I'll get a professional
Hands should be parallel to each other. Definitely not perpendicular - bad idea.
You didn't remove those with the plastic in place- you pulled them off with no protector

@@LumeShot ok...
HOW THE FUCK DO I GET MY WATCH OFF MY WRIST
NEVER REMOVE IT.
Sorry but this is a video about how to use a specific tool for a job. Not a universal way to remove watch hands. Great video though
