    This is an excellent video. He covers voltage, kilowatts, RPMs and decibel volume. He shows it non-loaded and under load. This is precisely the critical data that I'm interested in seeing.

    great video. just wish you run at the max drain for a little longer instead of keeping on increasing the power demand until it shuts off. Now, I just need to assume, that would probably be around 1.15kW.

    Hey I like your testing on the predator 1400 watt generator I've got one about a year ago and I've been using it for all kinds of small tools add appliances it's been working great I want it to find out if maybe you can do a video test predator 1400 w generator I've been using a fuel mixture called true fuel it is a four-cycle mixture I've been putting that in there and it seems like it's been running pretty well have not had any problems with it have you ever heard of true fuel what is your opinion on using true fuel I have not had any problems with it maybe you can do a video about using true fuel I've heard it burns slower cleaner I don't know do a test video with it and let us know about your opinion see if the voltage changes and check for performance but like I said I've been using true fuel and I have no problems give it a try it's already premixed one one 32 oz can should give you good results check it out see what you think love to hear your response on it thank you

    Gavin, this review is great! I have a problem I hope you can help me with. I installed a new state of the art boiler for my house and when I hooked it up to my old generator, it went offline. In reviewing the boiler specifications it requires +/- 1.5 hertz. The boiler itself (which can be separated from the pumps electrically) only needs 300 watts. If I hook up the house to the old generator and just hook the boiler up to this generator, can it hold the +/- 1.5 hertz? Watching your video I don't see the hertz vary at all from 60.

    Hi Gavin have you tested the voltage with a multi-meter, from 1) load to neutral 2) load to ground, and 3) neutral to ground, is so what were the results?. Why I ask is a lot of these generators are so called 120 volt but they are not true 120v, some of them give 60-65v from load and 60-65v from neutral latter is not true 120 volts .

    • @GeneratorReviews
      @GeneratorReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I just tested it
      1) load to neutral = 123V
      As for two and three you reading half the voltage because it has an open ground most generators have open ground that’s why you can’t use a surge protector without a bonding plug.
      I just plug the bonding plug in one of the plug and neural to ground reads 0

    • @God_of_Poets
      @God_of_Poets 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@djboz3002 it will depend on the size of the vacuum. It’s not really designed for heavy duty equipment. More so for lights, small fans, a power drill, circular saw, fridge. I’d bet it would run it but again it depends on the strength of the vacuum.

    I know your video is from 3 yrs ago, but here's a current question:
    I'd only use this for my camper. If I hooked it to the camper's main power supply (30 amp hookup, 3-prong) using an adapter, and only use it for a couple 12volt lights, my 12volt fridge, and to keep the battery charged, would this inverter handle it well?
    My concern is any voltage drop from the thick camper's cable.

    • @GeneratorReviews
      @GeneratorReviews  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This generator is too small for that task. I think you need a minimum of 2000 W.

    Hi Gavin love all your video's. However I think using a autotransformer, or variac is not a real world test . It's bringing up the load so slowly not like we would really use our generator's in the real world. I prefer your older method with the ac unit 👍.
    Please keep up the good work .
    Thank you 👍

    • @GeneratorReviews
      @GeneratorReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Awesome thanks for your input, I can do it both ways using the variac.
      My next test I will choose different wattage loads and turn on the variac like 1400w to see if the generator can start that load
      I really appreciate your input and I will consider both ways
